Multiple calls, left messages saying to teturn the call but never any reference to why or what the matter is...
They also always block their phone # and only leave it in their voice mail.

800-672-4953 belongs to a company by the name of ARS (Account Recovery Services), it is a collection company.  I do know that they handle the collections for Bank of America, not sure what other companies they work for.  Just passing on the info. Thy do block the number, they make the number available and here recently are using a local switchboard to call using a local number (deceptively sneeky)

Leaves (800) 672-4953, ext. 1107, as the callback number and says she's "Selena, your new account rep." Very perky and happy, but doesn't say which account.

They use local spoof numbers to make you think it's a local call. In my case it was (813) 375-9859.

Received a call on my answering machine telling me to have sister call the number:  800-672-4953, ext. 1073.  When I called them to find out what was going on, they hung up on me.

ARS called from a number 760-735-8531 which is CA # and i live in KY and left the phone number 800 672 4953 ext 1073 but everytime i call it back they hang up.

I got a call from this number.  When I called back they asked for a reference number.  Told them none was given then they wanted my ss#.  Got snippy and said that was the only way they could access my account.  They were asking for a name I did not recognize.  What are they up to.

Caller ID said "Private Caller." The voice response calling machine identified itself in the message as "ARS National Services", gave 800-672-4953 with a four digit extension as the callback number, looking for "Linda" (there is no one here by that name) and recited a twelve digit reference number.

got a call today from Selena...very nice...came in on a local number ..in my case 801-336-4698...obviously a collection agency...ext 1107....no information given..

Called from a San Diego number on caller ID, but left this number as a return number. Left name of Kalina O'Kelly. Polite-sounding.
