my iPhone on silent, miss the call. It seems legit (see previous comment "wasn't born yesterday"). Shelly left message,UBC, breathing problems. Seems survey related to COVID. She even mentioned her extension . Unfortunately I deleted message.

Possibly legitimate. I recall pre-Covid saying I would be willing to participate in a research project re asthma, when my family doctor asked. The phone number is that of the UBC Lung Centre. My only question mark was that the caller gave an email address but did not spell out her name. Both her first and last names have variant spellings.

I missed the call, but checked here, for the number. Seems a bit odd that some of the recipients above said UBC and others said St. Boniface.... Could they be using the same number for the same research, or could they be scams knowing where they're phoning?... I wonder - if I answered, would they say they were from a university or hospital near me?...

Logic would tell you that big companies farm out stuff like this.  The posts that you are referring to are clearly 4 years old.  The one that was made 4 hours ago is about cell phone usage.  You should probably start taking the time to read all of the other posts to learn what you need to know.

I answered, nobody or sounds on the other end of the call, then they hung up.

I was asked by a robot if I have a landline home. I then hung up.
