Unsolicited call from Duscover about my current account to get information in order to reduce my rate to 1.9%. Since I don't have an account with them I'm assuming this is another scam.

phone shows call from jonesboro, ga. 770-284-8993, recording says call Discover to get 1.9% rate on my account within 3 days . Ask for UNDERWRITER DEPT. because they need more info and call 1-800-691-2258.  obviously a scam.  We have account, but caller did not call any nem.

I also received a call from this number, it showed up as unknown but told me to call the underwriting department back at 800-691-2258 regarding my discover card.  I don't have a Discover card.

Having the same issue with this company calling as a underwriter for Capital One to lower an interest rate to a card I no longer hold. when asked how this information is obtained an awkward silence and a disconnection. after being asked to speak with the supervisor; a young lady named Lori answered who stated the company was licensed, Yet when the number was asked for I was placed on hold and after a minute disconnected for the third time. I believe this is a scam being used to collect information and it comes at a time when the credit bureaus are being hacked.

Received a voicemail from "unknown" caller claiming to be from the discover credit card "underwriting dept." requesting that I call them back with additional information in order to give me a reduced percentage amount on my payments. I don't have ANY credit card accounts so obviously it's a scam.

Also, got this call claiming to be from the underwriting dept about lowering a rate on a Discover card based on my payment history.  The caller did not identify themselves nor did they address a specific name.  I am reporting this number to the Feds.

Also, called from an unknown number,claiming to be an underwriting department to lower interest rate on a Discover card,which I do not have a Discover Card.Her name was Carolyn..I believe it is scam as well.Very. suspicious to me..I just called them back and now have them blocked.

Recorded message that they could lower my Discover Card rate. Wrong.  This is another of those scammers that have been calling people for years. Trust no one, and never give info out,  especially if you did not initiate the call!

Same, February 28, 2018, message on landline phone:  "call 1-800-691-2258 within 3 days", ask for Carolyn, Underwriting Dept., for a 1.9% interest rate on a Discover card balance.
