This number is traced back to Bank One in Texas. Bank One Corporation merged with JPMorgan Chase & Co. on July 1, 2004. The address traced with this number shows an actual Chase Bank in a Google street view.

Now while this number is indeed a Chase owned number, it does not validate a caller will be from Chase. Scammers can find out as easily as I did that its a legitimate Bank number and they LOVE to spoof Bank numbers to trick people into giving them money or personal info they use to steal your money.

If your a Chase customer, call YOUR local Branch or number on your card to see if they called..

I wanted to purchase a dress from Aliexpress.com for my daughter prom and it sent a message stating I had to call this number 800-695-1111 for further verification from my bank

Take note of the "additional" numbers listed. As I mentioned before, while this IS one of their numbers, it does NOT guarantee your caller will be from Chase, so always be cautious of any Bank calling that you did not first inquire to. Call back from the number on your card or their websites.

Did it work ? Or did they scam you ? Because same story with me

I tried buying in game currency for an online game I play. I've gone through this process a hundred times with other games no problem. Both websites I tried said that additional verification was required and to call this number AFTER I already submitted all of my card information. Some shady sounding grumble voice man picked up the phone and asked for my name and card number. Chase uses automated systems when verifying customers. Even if Chase DID call you from this number dont trust it. Theres no reason they can't afford to email you or submit concerns to you through your Chase app message center and if youre one of the people on the other side of this number reading this Id just like to say go [***] yourself eat [***] and die.

i also got this pop up at the end of a purchase i made from sears!! saying to call my bank at that number so they can verify it. seemed fishy to me so as i was on the phone i googled the number and found a few sites like these saying they were stealing info.I hung up in the middle of the call once i read yours.

cant edit my last comment so heres a new one: i called chase with the number i also do with banking issues and they told me the number is theirs and they directed me back to the number.
