I have been getting calls from this number.  Does anyone know who this is??  I don't answer if they don't come up on my caller ID.

It's for student loans

It is Sallie Mae Student Loans. I applied thru them and was denied without a cosigner, so there stupid automated line kept calling me to remind me that if I got a co-signer, i would be approved, and they kept sending me e-mails that said the same thing. I called and told them that I was not interested and if I was, I would have reapplied, and to stop contacting me. They still keep calling.

Sallie Mae...They call every morning at 9 AM...it's a pain in the butt because no matter if you answer of not they email me and call everyday....I just don't answer any more and let them leave me a voicemail

The same thing is happening to me. It would seem that if you do not resend an application with a co-signer they would know that you no longer want the loan.

i applied for a loan with them and was denied. they constantly call to inform me that a cosigner would help me get approved. I never answer but they still keep calling.

I have been getting these calls everyday from the same number as well. I won't answer if the caller is unknown or not a real name on my caller ID. Thank you for the "Sallie Mae" information. I too need a co-signer and have been getting the constant emails.

I have to say that if this were such a legit loan, then why do they harrass with calls and emails?

Thanks for the info!  I may answer the next time to see what they want, I did the loan request with and without a co-signer and was declined!

Same story as most people here - denied a loan without a co-signer, blah blah blah.  I'll continue to ignore this call, even though they keep trying.  I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize, so I dropped in to see if anyone else gets calls from this one.

I too appplied, and I have excellent credit and at the time did not owe any student loans.  I re-applied with a cosigner, who also has excellent credit and was still denied.  I think this whole process is a scam.  I don's see how we can be approved for very other loans we have applied and paid off but when it came to this student loan, we were denied.  I too juts ignore them.  I will never give them any business from now on.

I haven't actually gotten a call from them, but was told by the loan processor at the school to call it and was just making sure it was legit.  I guess I can expect to get tons of calls from them if I'm declined, because I literally don't know anyone who would be willing to cosign for me.

Though I don't think Sallie Mae itself is a scam, as they're responsible for something like 80% of the student loans in the USA.
