- Jai| 1 replyI had a call today from this number a lady stating her name was Sonia reed and she was with the legal processing department of my county. And that there is a summons process for me and failure to appear will result in an apprehension order. Also has called my sister a few days leaving a threading voice mail
- BigA replies to JaiCriminals masquerading as debt collectors attempt to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged (they use the bad check or hot check claim a lot) and go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished without actually being sued or going to court, be sued, and a variety of other variations on this, all for an alleged or nonexistent debt. One of the tricks they use is to call your family, friends, neighbors and/or places of employment (past or present or both) to create panic and embarrassment so that their intended victim calls them and they can scare that person into paying their extortion money. They will use the words “Mediator”, “Arbitrator”, or “Law Office” to make you believe that they are something other than a debt collector want-a-be and that they don’t have to follow Federal and State collection laws. They do have to follow those laws, but they won’t. They mention that they have received a Fax document, to create the sense of urgency. They also tell you that if you fail to call them back you are "waiving your right to council", which is pretty much nothing but hogwash. They also use the “process server” ruse who calls and claims he is going to serve you, but then says you could avoid it by calling another number where they will ask for money to “make it go away” (this is actually the same place, they work in teams, one pretending to be the server, and the other usually pretends to be a lawyer). Process servers do not ever call ahead so that you can dodge them. Process servers get paid to serve papers, nothing else.

- Bud| 1 replyGot a call yesterday saying they've attempted to serve me 3 times and have failed and now if i dont call them with my case number I'll be considered FTA (failure to appear) and get a default judgement. This is all bs. They say call the information center. Not a law office. Second legally if it was real they can't leave voicemail with legal info like a case number. I blocked thete old number which was a 662 number. Ots all a scam
- Tygerkat replies to BudAlso, no real process server is going to warn you they're coming because then you could just avoid them.
- Sandra in CaliforniaGot a call from this people two times, the call shows as unknown number but the second time they call it was a guy he left a message with a case# and this phone number 1800-695-6427 and gave a name of Erick saying there was a claim against me and that I needed to call. That I just had this one opportunity and that he needed to verify my address and employment address. I knew it was the same people that had call me a couple of weeks before because they have a different name with my last name so the first time I answer the call and told them they had the wrong person it was a lady I don't remember the name she gave me. she didn't say much and hanged up... So this time I just felt this was not right and started looking up info on this # I'm telling my story because they probably use he same story on many people.....This is a SCAM!!! .....They don't even have any info of you just a phone# and a name and in my case a wrong name.
- Beth in AtlantaCall back number was 800 695 6427 they were calling from process service verification department of shelby county looking for my relative Dustin some last name I couldn't understand. Have a nice day.

- Jazzy| 1 replyI received a call from this number, by the name of Anthony claiming I have a court summon from Sacramento Co. . I am required to call their 800 blah blah number to talk to them about my case number, otherwise further legal action will resume. I suspected this number is a fraud because they are calling on a blocked numbers, but they leave the 800 blah blah phone I can call to contact them. I immidiately googled the number and this number 800 695 6427 has been posted here since December 2016 with complaints.
- Caller: Process Service Verification Dept.
- WLWho?? replies to JazzyYep - Anthony Brass called me 1/26 from the "Process Service Notification Dept of Lackawanna County, PA". Barking up the wrong tree here. 1. My other half has worked for the Sheriff's Office and they serve you in person - not by phone. 2. I have two large dogs that bark at the sound of a fart - I'm home all day. If you tried to "serve" me multiple times, I would have definitely been home be "served". 3. Called two family members with the same messaging; one picked up and told him good luck you find her yourself and the other got a vm - i havent spoken to that person in YEARS!!! Got that message via another family member.
- Not who they are looking for.Richard God. called me looking for my husband. Hahahaha. Preying on the weak here. You won't find me falling for that ish. I told him to go ahead remove my number from their call list and I was calling trump on him.

- KeaweThey called one day with the same story. After I found out that it was a scam, I called them back and threatened them! Of course, after the third "F%$%$" word from me, they rudely hungup! WTF!

- Scammers should be hungSame thing- got a call saying process server and would result in default judgement. We had received one of the fake IRS calls a couple of years back so I assumed right away this was a scam but my family member who heard the message before I did had no idea. She did not catch the easy clue that they had the wrong name first of all, so one would assume the wrong number, right? I called anyway to give them an earful, not that they care. They wanted the case number they left me anyway even after I told them there was no one by that name at this number. They of course were very rude, first tried the "oh well we don't make those calls, it comes from a third party" to which I pointed out that if they were searching through reference numbers that some third party left that they were clearly affiliated and that I did not appreciate their threats or their attempt to scam. What a jerk.
