I called this number back, they wanted SSAN, I hung up called victoria's secret, they connected me to the credit card department.....I hadn't used my account in a very long time and they closed it.  I told the guy that I wouldn't give my SSAN over the phone like that to an automated machine.

I got a call today on my answering machine.  As others it said it was concerning VIctoria Secrets - I don't have an account with them.  When I called back I got the World Bank recording to enter my account number or social security number so quickly hung up.  Please for your own sake NEVER enter your SSN blindly.  This is identity theft waiting to happen.

It's from your Victoria Secret credit card. It means you haven't made your payment for the month. If you don't feel comfortable giving your information out over the phone, just go online and make a payment and the calls will stop. Not a scam!

    not a Victoria's customer
I called the customer service phone number for Victoria's Secret that I got online. I called VS to make sure someone was not fraudulently using my identification. Someone does owe VS money and used by phone number in his contact info. The representative took my phone number off of the gentleman's account and did not find that I had an account.

I have been receiving these automated messages from them stating that I "have important information from World Financial Networking Bank regarding Victoria Secret" Only problem is I do not have an account with them, nor have I ever bought anything from VS.  Funny thing is, right before I started getting these calls I visited the VS website, whom somehow got all of my information, started sending me unwanted catalogs and apparently has filtered my information to WFNB. I have not tried calling the bank yet and quit honestly, after reading what others are saying, I'm a little scared to do so.

This is a call from World Financial Bank, who manages Victoria Secret credit cards (possibly some other). I do agree the way they handle calls can come across susect, BUT if you get repeated phone calls from them, and then log on to your CC account and pay your bill the calls will stop-I NEVER pay on the phone with them, but get their message, say to myself "Oh [***], I missed my VS CC pay this month, go online and pay it-and the calls go away. Look on your statements-World Financial is the bank listed as managing your VS CC account. The reason some people are receiving calls at old numbers is they go by the number you used when you applied however long ago that was. This is not a scam or a collection agency-just a reminder to pay your bill!

This number has been calling my wife nonstop. They also sent a bill that has the real address and phone number of VS except the account information was wrong. If she had payed it, VS would have had to return it to the account that was on the bill scamming my wife out of $500. This one is a tricky scam just make sure that you check your online account or if you don't have one, make sure you go into the store to check and pay your balance.

I kept receiving calls from 614 area code claiming to be about a personal matter with VS and Comenity Bank.  Told me to call the number.  As I don't use either I ignored the first couple of calls.  I finally called the number and after entering 9s for all prompts it finally directed me to a person.  He asked for my phone number and then my name.  I only provided my first name at which point he said that did not match the records.  He asked if I did any business with Comenity or VS, to which I said no.  He then apologized and said my number would be removed.  We'll see if that actually happens, but it seems like this is legit, though the contact information someone else provided them is likely not.

I have gotten 4 calls in the last 2 days from a 614 number that claims they are Comenity Bank for Victoria's Secret.  They have said to call this 800 number, so in order to put an end to these calls, I did.  Yes, I got the prompt asking for a SSN, which I ignored and hit 0.  Got a representative and she was baffled as to why I was getting these calls.  Said my Carson's card has a 0 balance.  However, my number was a number for reference for someone named "Maria Garcia".  Have no idea who that is.  She removed my number and closed Maria Garcia's account.  She said there should be no problem now.  I can only hope.  Never had to give her my SSN and she sounded very professional.
