I had 2 messages from the number, too. I called back - appears they are a timeshare company. You go listen to a 90 min presentation and get a free trip. I told them I was not interested so not sure if they are legit or not.

Yea, I just "won" one of their "free" trips to various places.  I don't know if I want to spend my evening listening to this when I can't afford to buy one of whatever they're selling, nor would I want to if I had the money.  One of the two pieces of ID they want you to bring is a credit card!  I went to one a few years ago and left with an iClick camera, a $25 Shell gas card, and a "voucher" or something like that for a trip to Victoria, BC.  Whatever the "catch" was, I couldn't afford to take advantage of their "free" portion because of the other costs involved.  I hated sitting through their personal sales pitch and just trying to get it through to them that I couldn't do it.  Now VI called me today with a confirmation number and saying that this includes "dinner" and a $500 gift certificate!  I'm figuring that I have to pay for the airfare and the hotel "might" be "free".  But like they say if it seems to good to be true, it probably is!

I got called after entering a raffle at the Seattle Womens' Show.  They insist it is legitimate, and there is nothing to buy and no costs involved - just a free trip.  Not likely.  I was pressured to sign up for an "appointment" and told I had to commit to a day and time on the spot.  Very strange.  And then there was an extra prize, a dinner for 2 with a chauffeured limo.  Sounds like they are trying everything they can to get people to these meetings.  If you work for one of these companies, PLEASE find a new way to support yourself.  This kind of misleading marketing should be criminal.

Went to Folklife and filled out a form to enter a drawing for a $1000 Target card. Nowhere on the form did it say anything about Vacations International or Paradise Vacation Getaways, still not sure of the company's actual name. Received a call about winning the daily drawing, that they're not selling anything and the company asks for some time to introduce themselves in a very laid back, casual way when I go to pick up my prize of a 3 day 2 night vacation to Las Vegas, Orlando, Puerto Vallarta or Cancun. Was told if I could make it in in a few hours I would get dinner with a limo and a $500 shopping spree. The address they gave to attend the presentation was 14240 Interurban Ave suite 132 Seattle, WA 98168. These timeshare companies have been doing this for years and as I assume are legal, but really annoying just the same. If you're easily pressured and don't have money to spend, just don't go. If you like wasting your time and spending probably thousands of dollars, by all means call the number. The sketchy part to me is that they give you different company names and you can't find out about them, so these types of sites are really helpful!

I got a call from some place named paradise getaways.  I won a free trip and a dinner for two.  I researched the company and was a little nervous about the whole thing.  However I decided to learn more and it was actually a pretty good deal, a little corny but I need a vacation in this economy!!!!!!!Did a 90 minute presentation and got my gifts not to bad....

I got a call from these folks twice after signing up for free gifts and giveaways at Folk Life and the Fremont Fair.  In each case, I appeared to be signing up for something different--once for a cruise, and once for a free Target gift card.  In each case they claimed I was one of just a few winners, and in each case there was a hefty minimum income requirement before you could get the "free gift" with its taxes and fees.  This is not a prize, it is a promotion, and the marketing people behind it in my opinion are ethically questionable.  I won't be signing up for any of these "Drawings" anymore.  The notification call this time actually came from a private 253 area code, where the person instructed me to call the 1-800 number.  These techniques have "scam" written all over them.

Got 2 voicemails from them, telling me they were calling from Paradise Getaways and that they were holding my gifts/prizes.  I haven't called them back.  I know I've signed up for a few drawings at a show, but don't recall it was for a vacation.  Will not be calling them back.

I got a call from a 253-929-8218 from a Tracy from Paradise Getaways with a call back number of 1-800-706-1034.  They said I had won a drawing from the Tacoma Dome Bridal Show this past weekend, and I did enter a few drawings but none with that name.  They offered a 3 day 2 night stay in several cities, a limo ride and dinner and $500 spending money at selectyourgifts.com.  After reading so many comments about what a scam it is and how its not free I'm not going to do it.  Not going to waste my time.
