I got a phone call around 7:30.  This is the third call from them in the past 10 days.  No message left.  Any thoughts?

Got the call aslo three times, saying something wrong with Sears card. But I don't trust them, as the reason  mentioned above by "me". hate this. any idea how to block it?

I received a phone message from 800-709-9053. It is in regards to Sears credit cards and the recent Hannaford security breach that compromised many credit cards used in Hannaford stores. Rather than calling back this number, I called the 800# on the back of my sears credit card so I would know exactly who I was speaking with... So, it is a legitimate call, but still beware - call the # on the back of your sears credit card and you'll know for sure who you are speaking with and they'll advise you on any steps you may need to take - there was mention of new account numbers being issued on cards that had indeed been compromised.

Called on Saturday 1-30-2010 about Sears card. I have recent activity on my account that I needed to be concerned. Checked account online no activity and have not used card in 3 months. I also have identity theft on my card and they show no activity.

This number is not Sears...it's a scam.

Thanks! I got a recorded call from this number. I called the number on the back of my card and they said that my account may have been compromised and "hacked" into. They are issuing me a new account number/card.

It's a scam!  You should  call Sears with the number on back of your card.  They will issue you a new card because the caller knows the last 4 numbers of your card, and your account has probably been compromised.

it has happen to me. i call sear and have my card change.

Got this call on 4/10/2013. Caller left a message for "Howard D. Burns (sic) to call 899-709-9053 in regard to your credit account". I am not that person and am going to report this to the FTC as I believe it  to be a scam.

This is not a scam. They left a message on my voice mail. I called the number on my card to verify and they transferred me to Sears Security. They did find an unauthorized charge they declined and called me. They cancelled my card and are sending a new one. It's worth speaking with them.
