- JARRecived a call from Philip Jordon 800-713-2818 where I work stating that he was calling from United Cash Services and that I needed to settle my debt. I don't even have an account with United Cash Svc. They call throughout the day and at home. Caller ID comes up 0000. Mr. Jordon would not give me his address. When he wouldn't give me his address or send me a bill, I knew it wasn't legit. This is aSCAM.

- DooDahCaller ID comes up 0000 - Left a voicemail on my cell and work numbers within minutes of each other. I could not understand what the caller said his name was, because his accent was extremely thick (either Indian or West Indies). I managed to understand that he claimed to be called from a legal dept., and that legal allegations had been made against my name and SSN. He advised not to disregard the message and for either me or my attorney to call back immediately. If I do not call back, he cannot be responsible for what unfolds. Then said, "Thanks and have a nice day!"......Ha!
I'm not calling back. It's a total scam! I get these same calls at least once a month. Always someone with the same type of heavy accent, basically repeating the same message, and always a different number to call back. The last one I received prior to this threatened to have the authorities come pick me up at my place of employment or at my home address! Uh-huh! I'm still waiting........
You can't be arrested for not paying your debts, and if there are any type of legitimate legal actions against you that could result in your being arrested, the 'agents' aren't going to be calling and leaving you voicemails on your cell and work numbers, are they? I wonder how many people actually fall for these stupid calls?
It's obvious that my name, address, phone numbers and SSN have been sold when I filled online payday loan applications, and these threatening calls are the result.- Caller: Unknown

Caller id comes up unknown caller. Left me the same threatening message as doodah above. Told me to moneygram the payment to them with all kinds of codes involved. I consulted my attorney and he said no way, no collection co. would contact you in this manner. I took out no loan. And wouldn't you have to sign papers for any loan you took out! Sad that I inquired info on these loans and now my info is out there. Now what can I do to keep this from happening again in a week?? An ideas?

- Jeremiah| 1 replyI got a call from them this morning about my sister being investigated by the "BCI Which stands for Bureau of Criminal Investigations". I was told that if they didn't hear from her or me that she would need to get a lawyer to represent her in these criminal charges. I've had these guys call before from different numbers, so I'm used to it. I forwarded the voice mail, as well as the 800 number and this page to the DA's office for the state of CA, as well as to the FBI. Then I called them and began to explain that their number is already associated with criminal activity and that they are part of a known scam. I told them what I had forwarded, and to where. The guy that answered, which strangely enough was the same one that had called me (I say strangely because honestly what are the odds of calling a government 800 number and having a person let alone the one that called you answer) started screaming "WHY ARE YOU CALLING HERE!? WHY ARE YOU CALLING!? WHY DID YOU CALL HERE!!!??" and hung up on me. Well, I thought the idea of this human waste being so scared of a phone call was pretty funny, so I called them back to finish what I was saying. This time someone different answered, but I could still here the first guy in the back ground freaking out. I told him what I had told the first guy, and added that they needed to not call my number, or my family again. I informed them that we are not the pushovers they are used to dealing with. He wanted my sisters "vital information" so he could "clear up the mess". I told him "Nice try, but you should already have that if you are an actual government organization. Simply cross-reference it with my phone number which you should have since I just called your 800 number". He started telling me that my sister and I would go to jail if we didn't cooperate with them. I again explained to him that the number was associated with a known criminal organization. Then I explained that if it wasn't a criminal organization to give me his name and address, as well as the name of his superior and I would forward them any information that they needed. That's when he hung up on me. I still can't stop laughing.
Now, I can understand not wanting to call them back and deal with these crooks, but if you're like me and think it's funny for them to freak out, and want them to get a taste of their own medicine do what I did. They key is to stay calm while they are freaking out. It really makes for a great laugh. But either way, under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you give them your info or the info of a family member or friend. They ARE NOT part of the government. They DO NOT work for the government, or the police. They ARE criminals.- Caller: BCI
- tracyI received a call from 0000 on my cell phone and they left this # to return call. Couldn't really understand what the guy was saying (thick Indian accent), WARNING...this is a scam...I owe nobody money and I have frauded no one. You can not be jailed for owing money anyway (it is in our constitution) AND a legitimate legal firm will provide you with a bar # so you can check on them through the bar association. This 'legal firm' will not provide their bar # because they don't have one!!! Do not send them $$$.

- EmployerThick indian accent called for an employee; employee unavailable. Caller would not clarify what the call was regarding. Argued then asked if that's how I speak to an officer.
He said I had to pass the message within one hour or our name would be part of the case. What case, you wont tell me what this is about yet youre going to involve us? K. When asked what division or county he works in he said Legal Division; yes i know that's what officers do, what county? Unsecured loans.
Apparently my employee will land in jail on monday. - BarbaraYup me too. Received two calls today, but I read these boards and got a google voice account so now they are being saved and recorded. And you know what is funny, they are not for me! They are for someone whom I do not even know. It is BS that they call and bother us, but I just let it go into voice mail. It is pretty funny listening to their message. They have a hard time speaking English and the translation in Google Voice is funny to read. Don't bother with these scammers!

- Tracy replies to MikeHey Mike. I am not afraid to deal with your 'legitimate' agency. I have asked to please give me your 'law firm's' bar # so I can verify that you are a legitimate legal agency with the Bar Assoication. But you won't, I owe no pay day loan so I have asked for the name of the company who says I owe them money as I will deal with them directly. But you won't. I have asked for the exact date and amount the money was deposited into my bank account, so I can confirm the money was actually put in my account, but you won't. You threaten to have me put in jail for not paying my debt, but you can't. If you were a legal law firm, you would no doubt know Constitutional Law. There is no such thing as debtor's prison in this country thanks to our forefathers...And MIke, tell me, when my son returned your guy's call when you are looking for me that you people insisted he give you his SSN? That Mike is none of your business. He may be only 20 but he's smarter than you and your crook cohorts. He told you no and you guys began harrassing and threatening him. He is under no obligation to give you any info. So tell me Mike...hu???
- sickofthisThey've been doing this to me for a while...I've reported it to multiple places and you can find warnings about this everywhere. They also text just saying "PLEASE CALL". Don't even call them back...I think if it continues I'm going to buy an air horn and blow it in their ears.
- wuv2nilthese jerks called me at my place of business and told me i owed a loan back in 2009 a payday loan which i never took out...they said my ss# and told me i would be proscuted and their lawyers will garnish my wages if i didnt agree with the payment plan.I told them i didnt take this loan out dont know what their talking about and to send me this proof they have against me and they said no we cant do that case is closed all i gotta do is approve this payment plan and wouldnt let me speak.Hardly could understand these jerks.I hung up and they called me again...to get them off my back I agreed to do this but didnt!!So they called all day and were very rude to others trying to get ahold of me.I told my husband and he called them and told them to spot threatening me or will call the police and the caller said go ahead and hung up....scammers!!

- TracyUpdated info. OK. I am sick of these people calling me, so I have basically begun to harrass them back. I have called them about a million times/each time asking for their Bar #. I have been hung up on numerous times. Finally I was given #4928 and told that they are registered with the Bar Association out of FL. Soooo, I went to Florida's Bar Association website and put in that number. That Bar # belongs to an attorney out of Utah and stated 'not licensed to practice law in Florida'. So I called back and was given #27591 again out of FL. Sooooo back to the website I go. This time to be told that is an invalid Bar #. Legally we have no recourse to stop these crooks from harrassing us as they are not even within our boarders. But it sure doesn't stop us from harrassing back. I suggest we mount a campaigne to call the crap out of them and tie up their phone lines...They can't make any money off poor, ignorant suckers if they are busy dealing with us pissed off people. Just a thought!!!
