If it's Dean, why don't they say anything when you answer?  I do have an appt on Fri.  This number called me twice today but when I answered, just silence.  There's obviously somebody there but they don't say anything.

I got that call today too but didn't pick up because I didn't recognize the number.  I know they do send out reminder calls and it's gone to my voicemail before and told me to pick options to keep the appointment or cancel, etc.  That's weird if when you answer the recording doesn't start to give you those options.

Dean Health Systems reminder appointment. It is automated and starts their recorded message by a voice trigger. So if its not triggered it will be dead silence.

They need to change their Caller ID label so it says "Dean Health Systems" and not "Toll-Free Caller".  I ignore all phone calls from unidentified sources.

I have sent a comment about the Caller ID issue to Dean Health Systems, explaining this situation. I suspect that if others were to do it too, they might be able to find a way for CID to show that the caller is Dean Health.

I verbally mentioned, when they called to remind me of an appointment, that Dean needs to have their name shown on people's caller ID but the woman said it's because you shouldn't call the number back for any type of service or whatever so they don't have Dean shown. I told her I almost didn't answer thinking it was another spammer as I had just received one of the annoying credit card calls right before they called. The DO need to show that it's Dean Health calling, I agree. Maybe we all just need to ignore their calls and if no one clicks "1" to confirm the appt. they will change their attitudes.

This number is shown on Dean's website as a contact number. Since the person who said the number wasn't to be called "for any reason" is incorrect, Dean doesn't have a reason not to label this number as their's. I'll be contacting them. If they want a call answered these days, they need the ID. Like several others, I don't answer any call I don't recognize.

Good idea, Edie.  Businesses should identify themselves.  There is so much spoofing going on that people just don't trust anyone anymore.
