This number has called me saying they are trying to collect payment on something that is delinquent.  I have nothing that is past due that needs to be paid.  It appears to be a scam.  They left 2 different numbers.  855-233-6432 and 800-720-6570.  I looked up both numbers and it appears many people have been contacted by them.  I am blocking both numbers!

total scam. If you go to their paynow website, it looks like a 15yr old made it. The parent site is still underconstruction. They called me asking for 34 bucks from a medical lab which was billed in 2009. I called the lab & my insurance; my insurence doesn't track payments from that lab. And the lab is now closed. I told them that and "to the best of my knowledge the debt was previously settled" I ended the call with, if you ever call me again, i'm suing you for harrassment. I haven't gotten a phone call since.

After talking to The Billing Dept. Supervisor at Kaiser about the letter I rec'd from this company, she confirmed USCB IS their collection agency and has used them for years. When I tried to describe the way I was treated and USCB not having any details on the bill THAT I HAD ALREADY PAID, she said she didn't care how USCB dealt with me or what they told us in order to get the debt paid. I said she should for this is a face of Kaiser who already has a bad reputation for lax care, faulty systems, horrible communication, bad followup, etc. USCB has no information on what the debt is for, just date and amount, so could not mail me or email me a copy of the original charge but expected me to whip out my credit card to take care of this. My bill was from May 2010 and it was now May 2012. Kaiser said they mailed me 5 consecutive bills to collect this but I didn't get one of them until this letter came 2 yrs. later. But I did get USCB's letter @ the right address plus test results and Doctor's letters from Kaiser! How does that happen?

Good Luck all of you who are encountering this same problem! It took me half a day to get to the right person at Kaiser to discuss this. I say call Billing Dept. @ Kaiser to let them know what your experience with USCB was and prove that you already paid the bill. They then will call USCB and have them remove this from your record. Say something, though, for that is the ONLY WAY THINGS CHANGE!!!

I am also a kaiser member and I got this call. Is Kaiser giving away all our information? Maybe we should all complain to Kaiser. Because this is not the only information they got. Be carefull

I too, received a call from this number just last night telling me that I had 6 unpaid bills from Kaiser dating back to 2013 and that I had to pay $270 right now. This is absolutely false and I'm very concerned that they have my personal information. I called Kaiser after hours so I haven't talked to the billing department just yet. But the person I talked to said that it didn't sound legit.

    It's Kaiser's debt collector
The caller is a debt collector for Kaiser.  i have asked several times from USCB and from Kaiser to send me copies of all bills to prove the debt is legit and belongs to me.  USCB tells me that they are not required to get a copy.  I've let them know they are required and will not accept or claim any debt as owed by until it is proved. All my care from Kaiser is preventative which is 100% covered.  Therefore, to this day, about 4 months later,  I haven't received anything from Kaiser and/or USCB detailing charges, dates and amounts owed.  If the debt is mine for non-preventative services, i'll be more than happy to make payment arrangements.

This company is like a mosquito that won't go away no matter how much you swat at them. They call just enough to be annoying but not enough to look like harassment. I have NO business with them. I only pay to the people the debt is originally with (example: Kaiser, UC Davis, etc). Paying a company like this will not remove it from your credit report, no matter how much these people claim it will. All it does is add it to your report a second time. And if theyre trying to collect on an old debt, it will only restart the clock on the debt, making an old debt viable for collections again. Do yourself a favor and block them...by any means necessary! I know I do. LOVE blocking features.

Caller indicated that he was calling for Kaiser Billing and wanted my date of birth. Told him I don't give that out to callers I don't know. He said goodbye. I have always paid my Kaiser bills on time and have not received any mail correspondence about this issue. I will block their phone number.

I received a phone call from this number that left a voicemail saying I had a debt... I didn't think I had any debt. I read a lot of complaints mentioning it was a scam and showed it was for Kaiser so I figured I do my research before calling them back. I do have Kaiser so I called Kaiser billing department to see if I had anything past due. I ended up having 2 bills from years ago that got sent to this collection agency!!!! Kaiser gave me 18007206570 which is the same company that called me from 18005755076. It's not a scam! If you have/had Kaiser, chances are they received your bill. This company specializes in past due medical bills.

This company is in fact a legitimate and shady seeming bill collector for Kaiser Permanente.  You can find this by calling kaiser, and selecting the menu for billing, and then collections, the 1-800-720-6570 number is given by Kaiser as who to contact when you make that selection.  They had legitimate medical information from 4 years ago regarding an incident that should have been covered by insurance, but seems to have fallen through the cracks.  Again, legitimate, albeit [***] "garbage debt" collector.  Get the details around the date of billing, the amount due, and the interest they are asking for, and then call back into Kaiser billing department after marking it disputed (or pay if it is legitimate).  Garbage debt collectors don't get details regarding a specific bill, only the amount and date, and technically they "own" the debt.  Dispute with Kaiser.

    Wow, lots of misinformation there.

No reason to since the law says otherwise.

They do if you request a debt validation which should be done before ever paying any debt collector.  If they own the debt then Kaiser is out of the picture and there is no way to dispute it with them.  They don't necessarily own the debt as they may simply be collecting it.  Huge difference.  Before giving extremely poor advice you should take the time to actually make sure you have the correct information.

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.  If and when you get that letter you should immediately send that debt validation letter by certified, return receipt mail.

First, you should make a complaint at this Federal Agency, and while there you should also read up on how debt collection is supposed to work as well as what your rights in this matter are: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Also file complaints with the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt&panel1-1

Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.
