ID themselves as "United Processing"  The jerk I talked to admitted that yeah, they are calling people about SS, despite the fact that there's no way anyone could have a "fraud" against their SS#.  I called him out on it and he hemmed and hawed finally put the phone down.

I'm on SS and I don't like this kind of stuff.  They are just trying to scare people.

Ignore and block.  Total scam.  How could anyone take an "action" against your SS#?  Scare tactic.  This is what the Indian-based scammers try, but this group  is located in the US.

I just got a voicemail from this number stating that they have been retained and assigned to mediate a civil summons for fraud they want to try to resolve the issue. I believe this is a scam. I almost got taken by a scam two days ago with something similar, I panicked and gave them my info. After I hung up, I called my attorney that helps me with FCDPA issues and he told me to change my bank acct # and ignore those calls they are scammers and they are out to take your money. Block them! I feel like it's been happening way too much in the past few weeks its like they are coming out of the woodwork trying to scam people.
