This is actually M&T Mortgage company. I didn't recognize the number, so I looked on my statement and called the different number that was there, and they verified that it is in fact them. Apparently, they do random phone calls of their customers if your mortgage is due on the 1st, and it is now the 3rd, even though you supposedly have a grace period of 15 days from the due date. No big deal. "It's just a courtesy call to remind you to pay your mortgage''. Oh yeah right, like I'm going to 'forget' to pay for the roof over my head. LOL

This number keeps calling. Recording states that they are a debt collector. Claim to be a mortgage company, but I do not have a mortgage.

THIS IS A SCAM.  Claims to be M&T Bank.  Then they ask to input your full social security number.  DO NOT DO IT.  They also provide a website.  Here are a list of REAL M&T Bank phone numbers off the REAL M&T Bank website:

My caller ID shows this number as "AMENTIE BANK MG".  What a misspelling of M&T Bank.  That's why I wouldn't provide my social security number for the unpleasant agent.

This is M&T and I’ve asked then multiple times to stop calling me. They were unable to seize my home as I am current on payments so now I guess they are stopping by physically. It’s harassment and I loathe them. Switching all accounts to a new bank.

An orange envelope was left in the door handle with a matching orange slip of paper stating (person who no longer lives here) call this number and provide your account number.  There was nothing written on it to indicate which company was leaving this paper, and when I called the number on the paper, all Ingot was a busy signal.  I literally just made a payment on the mortgage, so there is no reason for M&T to have anyone leave such a suspicious note on my door.

Highly unlikely anyone would put such a vague notice on a door asking you to contact them and give your account number. More realistically it was a landscape flyer and you were under the influence of something or you are just a very confused person.

person made it sound like something was wrong w my account, im not behind on payments. also asked for first 5 of social,,, who does that, as far as I know they always ask for last 4.  told him Im all set
