- ChrisI got the same today that Teri got. I automated message saying they got my application for a pharmaceutical sales position if interested call 888-297-7829. I am getting htis once a week now and am going to file a complaint with Career Builder.
- Caller: unknown
- PatrickReceived this call also saying he saw my resume on career builder and there was a pharmaceutical sales position...call some 888 number. Sounds like a marketing call to me, especially since I didn't apply to any pharmaceutical sales position recently.
- Vicki Gulfport, MsI too received a msg. on my cellphone yesterday from a man stating that I had applied for a pharmaceutical sales position on CareerBuilder. I had not applied for this postion and can find no info on this phone number.
I am going to report this call to the Ms. State Attorney General on Monday along with the Ms. State
Public Utilities Commissioner. - MargaretI also got a call from this number from "Dan" claiming to have gotten my resume for a pharmaceutical sales representative position (for which I never applied). If this were for real, the person would leave more than just a first name. They'd leave their first and last name, title and the name of the company.
These jokers prey on the unemployed. Don't be their next victim. - EdI actually called them back at one point a few months ago. Everyone knew "Dan" but he wasn't available. They wanted to charge my credit card $35 as a processing fee and then do some 'training' to be a sales person. When I said I wasn't sure about paying the fee the guy immediately changed his tune from "we can do everything for you and your career" to immediately hanging up after saying to call back when I came around.
Scam.- Call type: Telemarketer
- Norma Tobias| 1 replyThey called me also his said his name was David from some company that received my resume, at first it was an automated machine, and when I pressed one it went to the David gentleman regarding a pharmacutical sales position. He told me his extention was 480, after asking a few questions about my sales experience asked for my debit or credit card for a one time payment of $29 for a prescreen he wanted me to get pen and paper to write down my username to sign up online. Since i did not have a college degree I was not eligible for pharmaceutical sales, but yes for other jobs. As soon as he asked when I could fill out the prescreening I said today, he said whats your credit card number, I said give me the website first and I can look at the company's website...he pretended he couldn't hear me, I asked again for the website first and he hung up. SCAMMMM written all over it. He said they represent the largest companies in the world. When you call back it does go to an automated machine and transfers to a dept.

Ext 8800. - JimI, too, received a missed call hits morning from "Dan" regarding a pharmaceutical sales position. He left a message and asked me to call back at 888-297-7829. I checked my caller ID and the # he called from was (800) 724-7829. He said he received my application from Career Builder. I did post my resume on Career Builder but didn't apply for such a sales position. I thought I would do some research online before calling him back, and I'm glad I found this website. Thank you all for your posts! I guess I won't be calling him back :P
- DanI, too, received a call from "Dan." He sated that "they" had reviewed my resume posted on Career Builder, and would like to speak to me regarding a pharmaceutical sales position that "might" be available to me. I was given the same 888-297-7829 number to call. Checking my caller id, I found the call came from 800-724-7934. Glad I checked out the number through this site. Definitely have no interest in calling "Dan."

- LaurentGot the same message this morning, from Dan who called from 800-724-7934 and asked me to call back at888-297-7829. Since I applied to a Sales position (but not in pharmaceutical) via Careerbuilder recently, I thought maybe the guy had made a mistake so I called.
I talked to Tom there who was really aggressive and borderline impolite. When he asked me if I would be available for for an interview in the next 2 weeks, I answered it depended when. He then proceeded to tell me I had to answer yes or no and not waste his time. As I started telling him I did not appreciate his tone of voice he simply said have a good one and hang up on me. Reading this post it spared having to go to the step where they ask for your money. I will also complain to Carreer builder.
Thanks for starting this thread I should have read it first.- Caller: unknown
- LarryGot a call this morning from "Mark." Said I should have no problem making 6 figures but he needed $29 for pre-screening which was "only fair" since they were doing all the work and the employers would pay their fee. I told him I was not comfortable giving him my CC# until I was able to check them out. He told me he would send me the e-mail then asked me again for my credit card number. When I repeated my reluctance he said he hoped to hear back from me. So far I have not seen the e-mail that he promised to send.

- TulipI got the same bogus message from "Dan" regarding the pharmaceutical sales position posted on Career Builder and the 888 call back number, even though the caller ID showed 800-724-7934. Thanks to all of you for your posts on this blog. I knew the content of this call before I even listened to my message. It would be great if someone could provide information on how to report calls like this to the appropriate authorities. The guy even ignored the fact that my phone number was on the Do Not Call list
