They call my celephone several times a week. I never answer it.
Rather than call them back and have my number appear on their caller ID, I went to a pay phone and rang the number. The person on the other end could barely speak English. I asked her the nature of her business and she said "To take orders over the telephone" She wouldn't give me any further info as to the name of the Company or where they were located.

I am on the Do Not Call list and did forward this number to the FTC.

Incidentally, if you use the *67 when calling an 800 number, your number still shows up on their caller ID. Don't ask me why, it just does.

Today, to find out who this is, I did call them back and it was the National Dealer Warranty Service, a Company that has been sending me tons of junk mail for an extended warranty on a car I don't even own.

The gentleman in customer no-service apologized for the calls, as it was an auto-dialer. He said he would remove my name from the calling list. Incidentally, I am on the DO NOT CALL list and did register a complaint about 2 months ago. Stay tuned.....

You're wasting your time with the FTC and do not call complaint. It's a joke as far as cell phones are concerned. The law specifically prohibits telemarketing calls to cell phones. In this lawless society, nothing is enforced. If they enforced just a small portion of the complaints, fined them out of business and publicized it, things would change in the consumer's favor. Maybe the telemarketers are filling the pockets of the politicians and all we get is double talk from them as far as them "protecting" the consumer.
