calls and no   one on other end

We get calls constantly from this number as well as 800-310-9229, they say they are from OWCEN calling for a personal business manner, we do have a mortgage with them, we have never been late and our standing is excellent with the credit bureaus. When they call they have asked for us by name, and then in order to tell us what it is about they say they need us to verify the last 4 digits of our SS #, and I tell them if that they called us, they should have all that information. I WILL NOT GIVE OUT #SS'S OR VERIFY OUR ADDRESS AT ALL !!!......I really do think it is a SCAM. They have also called from another number 800-746-2936, with the same crap, but with this number they sound like they are from India. This morning when they called, they asked for us by name, I told them they had the wrong number, the guy sounded really mad........oh well !!!......So much for the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY.......IT'S A REAL JOKE !!!.....Another thing is they are really stupid if they think people don't have caller ID, well I DO !!........HA HA HA

As reported by Ocwen: "Ocwen does charge a $10.00 fee to produce a payoff statement and a $20.00 one-time fax fee if the customer requests this delivery method. Ocwen does not charge any fees for early payoff of a customer's loan except as provided for in the terms and conditions of their Note and Mortgage". As of April 19, 2004, received copy of Notice from Office of Thrift Supervision United States Department of the Treasury. In part the notice advised of a Supervisory Agreement between Ocwen Federal Banks and Office of Thrift Supervision. The company agrees to take steps to: Improve its mortgage loan servicing practices, including its dealings with consumers whose loans are serviced by the Bank and to enhance its compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Further, the company will develop, adopt and implement an acceptable plan to improve the manner and reduce the time in which it appropriately resolves consumer complaints/disputes. This company comes under the direct supervision of the Office of Thrift Supervision, Northeast Regional Office, 10 Exchange Place, Jersey City, NJ 07302. According to a spokesperson from that agency, the company is allowed to charge these fees. They have called me all wk asking for my husband, they can barely pronounce my last name. The recording before you reach a person say debt collectors, if you reach a person I was hung up on twice.My husband one call and they ask for his SS; he asks who are you. They say we bought your mortgage from your old comp.My husband says the name's are not the same that our old lender sent use when they did sell our mortgage last mnth.So my husband said if you bought my mortgage than send me the info my old mortgage company has on file as bill address,than I will verify whatever you want.They sent today that info but I already turned them into the attorney general office for 6 harassing phone calls,our next bill was not due for 2 mnth because I pay advance, so I am outraged this new mortgage comp has treated us this way.Now someone is calling saying we will be getting 10% discount on our mortgage because the old lender sold at a bankrupt sale and we recoup the discount like the new lender will; but this guy is from a different company. What is going on and who do we believe here!I have had mortgages bought before but never been harassed by the new company before I usually just get a letter of welcome.

Called because they bought my mortgage it's a mortgage company in Florida if they are calling you you are late on youre mortgage or the just bought it from youre previous one.

I own two houses, both of which are free and clear, and I have never had any connection with Ocwen Financial Services. They may well be a legalized scam, like the 30 day free trial on diet pills. They seem to try to weasel your social security number out of you through there automated system.

This company has been calling us for months, and hangs up whenever we answer the phone.

Today I called them back, and after a few hours, and several combinations if menu choice, and an extensive internet search, I was able to connect to a call center in India.

I’ve found it generally pays to be courteous when talking to a foreign call center. I was able to find out the weather, and the time in India, and the operator said he would remove me from the call list. That remains to be seen.

I found the website, and the correct spelling of the company name by entering the telephone number into Google. The company’s automated answering system doesn’t annunciate the company name very well, and never spells it, even when referring to there website.

Here goes the start of the NEW WORLD ORDER, per ones other say that they are crazy. OCWEN calls mostly come from India. I spoke to someone called "LEROY" (nice - an Indian with a homey gheto name - B.S.) and asked him if I can drive to his location. Since he siad no and was calling from India, I told him that that was the first problem. I do not do busines related to my immediate finace with people in other countries. Same goes with other intities. Get your self a lawer and take them to court in order for them to transfer your account to a CONUS (USA) based, American Owned, and Non-Bull [***] organization. P.S. SAXON MORTGAGE DOES BUSINESS WITH THEM, so beware.

They keep calling and wont listen to me tell them that the person they are looking for is not at my number.  They are rude and disrespectful over the phone.  I have spoken so far to John and Paula.  They will not stop calling me even though I told them the person is not at this number

I just got a called from 66104 as it appears in my caller ID. They call 3 times and the last time they left a message I had to listed like 5 time because it was hard to understand. I couldn't understand the name and where they were calling from all I can understand is"name of the person calling from Verification Departmetn of Forklin calling for my name please return my call at 1 800-746.2936". Now I see is from Ocwen..... Im not even sure to return the call now that I have read all the info that has been posted....

My loan recently transferred from Homeq to Ocwen under HAMP. Ocwen calls me 2 weeks prior to the due date of my loan payment to remind me a payment is due, sometimes up to 3 times in one day. If you try to call them back, be prepared to wait. I was on hold for 25 minutes last night before I gave up and decided to move on with my life. If it's that important, they'll have to mail information to me. It is VERY difficult to connect with a warm body. If they call you, just bite the bullet and find out what they want.

My loan also recently transferred from Homeq to Ocwen.  They raised my payments by 15%.  I called and ask what was going on and they said that was the information they received as monthly payment from Homeq.  However, if I have the originating loan documents they will research it.

Of course I have the original documents and they since switched it back.  I do not trust this company.  They also call weeks before my next payment is due to remind me.

Crazy!

They just called me and a lady who barely spoke English asked me if this was "First American Law Center." I think that's what she said. Who knows. Anyway, when I told her no, she said, "just ignore this call then, thank you." I didn't answer the first time but when they called right back I had to find out why they were calling my cell phone and how did they get it. But she hung up before I could ask. So much for the Do Not Call List. Gotta love these idiots with nothing better to do except bother me for nothing.

I got a call from this number yesterday but didn't answer. At work the next day, I work for a title insurance mortgage company, i used my computer to look up this number and it came back to a bank called OCWEN which gives loans for mortgages. They are located in Orlando, Florida. I'm not sure why they were calling me because I don't have a mortgage but they called twice. Next time I'm gonna tell them to not call again. If they call, make sure your current loan wasn't bought out by them because they will keep calling if you don't clear it up. Hope this helps.

I keep getting calls from 1-800-746-2936, they do not identify themselves or their business and ask for a Michelle Somebody at 8:30a.m to 9:30a.m every morning. I have told them I do not know any Michelle, nor does a Michelle recieve calls or messages at my number, I have also asked them to stop calling my number and remove it from their call list or computer System so I will stop getting their calls. I have listened to them for several weeks now tell me how sorry they are and that they will not call my number again for this Michelle person, yet they continue to harass me every morning. I would love to file a lawsut for harassment against them very much!!

Labor Day Holiday---800-310-9229 calling every half hr..someone needs to tell them that it's against the law to call before 8 am and after 8pm  m//f and also HOLIDAYS...i had to GOOGLE the "UNKNOWN" number after i just took the phone off the hook...and by God no OUT SOURCED INDIAN better call me...call CNN it's so against the law

Not too sure but 2 weeks ago we got a call from another number and I could swear it was the same person left me a message telling me I had a warrant out for our arrest because of a fraudulant activity...  he called him officer James Thomas and he had a strong accent(India) and the number was traced back to Florida...phone company said around Miami and it was a scam number

I receive a call from this number daily.  The voicemail left is about clearing all of my debt.

I am registered in the "do not call registry" directory.  The company that owns the number 800-746-2936 is constantly calling me in an unprofessional manner.

Help...this number is responsible for unsolicited calls to a minor!! How do we protect our
children from this harrassment on there cell phone?

If you're a customer of ocwen in good standing, they are calling to sell you additional products like insurance. This is perfectly legal and the Do Not Call registry law does not apply since it's a company with which you are doing business.
