This is USAA insurance.  I inquired about their insurance and they just now called me back.  They were not able to lower my payments, but they are a real company.

    NOT USAA!!!!!
Don't listen to “Pete”!  This is NOT USAA! These scammers called me and left a message with this number.  I called USAA instead & they confirmed that this is a scam & they are not affiliated in any way with this number!
    “Pete” is lying.

Got same call from a "Valid Number" according to scam alert screening & VM was left.  Caller knew my whole name & "Kelly" said she was from USAA.  Called USAA and they did not call.  Filed fraud alert with them.  Definitely don't listen to "Pete".

Said it was USAA , and wanted to tell me about their Medicare insurance plans on voice mail. Well,  USAA DOESN'T DO COLD CALLS LIKE THIS FOR PRODUCTS THEY HAVE!  Besides, it isn’t a USAA number. I have been with USAA since I was a teenager. They just do not do this cold calling. This is a huge scam.

Repeatedly spamming the thread with your shill posts only proves that you are the scammer since this phone number is not on that list so you are purposely lying.

BTW, I know because I also searched the number online and that USAA link listed the number as coming from their lead qualification partner. I also called the number back and was informed they were calling on ‘behalf’ of USAA to connect me with a USAA representative to discuss Medicare insurance options.

You came to a thread and replied to people who posted here last year trying to convince them that this call is legitimate. Now you are back. Why did you come back? How did you know that I replied to you? Why are you so adamant about trying to convince people that this call is legitimate? How do you know that it wasn't a spoofed phone number? People that try this hard are shills for the scammers spoofing the number.

I saw this at the top of the homepage.  Interesting, you certainly have caught a shill and a stupid one at that.  Especially since it is against Medicare Rules and Regulations to make cold calls to sell Supplement insurance plans and I certainly doubt that USAA would violate the law like that.

Now everyone here knows that you are lying since that would be illegal.

    Marketing rules for health plans
People representing Medicare plans aren't allowed to:
Ask for your personal information (like bank account or credit card numbers) over the phone unless it’s needed to process an enrollment request. Plans don't need your personal information to give a quote.
Come to your home uninvited to sell or endorse anything.
Call you unless you’re already a member of the plan or you've given them permission to contact you. If you’re a member, the agent who helped you join can call you.
Require you to speak to a sales agent to get information about the plan.
Offer you cash (or gifts worth more than $15) to join their plan or give you free meals during a sales pitch for a Medicare health or drug plan.
Ask you for payment over the phone or online. The plan must send you a bill.
Tell you that they're Medicare supplement insurance (Medigap) policies.
Sell you a non-health related product, like an annuity or life insurance policy, during a sales pitch for a Medicare health or drug plan.
Make an appointment to tell you about their plan unless you agree. During the appointment, they can only try to sell you the products you agreed to hear about.
Talk to you about their plan in areas where you get health care like an exam room, hospital patient room, or at a pharmacy counter.
Market their plans or enroll you during an educational event like a health fair or conference.
Advertise to you without using specific plan names.
Advertise to you using confusing words or images, or misleading Medicare logos.
Independent agents and brokers selling plans must be licensed by the state, and the plan must tell the state which agents are selling their plans.

i was just posting that USAA appears to be using a legitimate third-party partner calling from this number. Must have been a different Scott posting last year as I just came across this feed when searching to check whether the call that was coming up on my caller ID  was a USAA associated number before calling it back. However, I completely agree with you that it could have been  a spoofed number. Unfortunately, there is not a shortage of spoofed calls and/or scammers these days. As always the best protocol to follow on these calls is to ignore them. I did call the number back because I thought it might be related to one of my other USAA insurance products, in response to user “BigA” they do indeed appear to be breaking the law based on your post. Please note that I do not feel that it was a scam call as they only asked to verify my phone number and name, to which I only provided my number and surname, They stated that the purpose of the call was to connect me with a USAA representative to discuss Medicare insurance options, I have since visited http://usaa.com/optout to update my marketing and privacy preferences. I would encourage anyone else receiving these calls to do the same.

BTW, Thanks for educating me on the term “Shill” as I was not familiar with it until I looked it up.
