It's CBN

They called me twice -- once in the evening and then the next morning at 8:15 a.m.  When I returned the call I spoke with a rep.  They are the "700 Club" which is a prayer line and they pray for people.  They are part of the Christian Broadcasting Network.  I wanted to know why they would be calling me since I've never heard of them.  The rep -- an older gentlemen -- really didn't know why -- and I believe him.  He really did sound surprised like he wasn't lying about it.  I asked if there was anyone there that would know if they were making solicitor calls.  He said he didn't but he could take my name and number and check around.  I told him we get 15 solicitor calls a day and would not give my number since that's what I was trying to avoid.

If you get a call from this number, pick it up and find out why they're calling random numbers.  If they're starting to solicit, let's do some major complaining!

And they called again about 8:30 p.m. the next night.  Wasn't home.  Someone please find out if they are soliciting.

What probably happened is that a CBN member accidentally gave them a wrong #.  Someone that has # very close to your number made a typo.  I know that they only call people that have previously joined the 700 club - they don't cold call.

Unknown number that keeps harassing me.

Well the best I can say about CBN is they don't have call centers overseas. (Makes you wonder why there aren't call centers in Australia or New Zealand.)

It is CBN and they normally call members to see if they would like prayer, not soliciting.

Somebody is spoofing the CBN 1-800 number ... it's probably a scam.

Been getting repeated calls from this number and they never leave a message.  Probably is a scammer spoofing this number.

I love CBN and donate to them - but if I want prayer, I will call them........... -  So I don't answer - and with a recent donation I asked that they not call me anymore.

I am not a member of CBN.  I am a Christian and my name is on the no call list.  I do not understand why  someone preaching the word of God would annoy people on the no call list.  Are they wanting donations and do they buy names from each other?  I did e-mail a prayer request from another t.v. evangelist and it makes me wonder if they sell names to each other. How disappointing that thought is to me and breaks my trust in them.

A scammer is spoofing CBN's phone number.  CBN is not soliciting.

I received a call this afternoon from this number. It was an older man claiming to be a rep for the 700 club. I would have subscribed or requested a call from them nor would they have any good reason to call me so I just hung up.

you  are right, I just got a phone call from them. They do not mean to do any harm to anyone I can promise you that.

CBN or the 700 Club has been calling me here lately. I use to give them money every so often and now they think they owned my billfold. Unless you want to be bothered by them do not give your email address, phone number, or address for even tho you tell them to leave you alone they will not.  I am 81 years old and they know I have not a lot of money.

Yes, CBN. They called me to follow up on a prayer request I had previously with them.

you ask for prayer then they tip something else then comes retaliation. for some things you did not ask for in prayer.
