Stop calling my residence!!! I work shift work, and you people keep waking me up! STOP CALLING

Answered it in the evening, recorded voice said "Due to an abundance of calls..." and then hung up on me.  WTF?!?  You called me!  Next time there will be revenge...

I have received 7 calls from this number since April 15th; the most recent one today (May 1st, 2008).

I called the number back and heard a recorded message stating that it was the (Support Centre for the) "Canadian Physicians for AIDS & Relief".  They invited you to call another number 1-800-378-0702 if you wanted to speak to a person.

I did a Google search for this organization and came up with the similar (not identical) "Canadian Physicians for Aid & Relief".  http://www.cpar.ca

The difference:  one says "AIDS & Relief" while the other says "Aid & Relief".

I am suspicious that the people calling from 1-800-761-2178 are scammers who are pretending to be CPAR.  Be careful.

3-calls in one night - no message just a hang up. Very very frustrating.

It showed up "Pay Phone"   on a 1-800 number ya right.
Just received it.. they hung up before I could answer.

When you call the number to get on The Do Not Call list, press 9. When I keyed in my phone number, it reads back a different number. This is a scam, because they make it very difficult to get off their stupid list. Best to call their Head Office.

Says its an Audit Systems

Got a call from this number.  As I never answer calls from an unknown number, I let it go to voice mail.  The girl said her name was Rachelle and to call her back.  Um, no thanks.  If you can't tell me where you're calling from and why I need to call you back, I'm not about to!

Rec'd a number of calls from these people and never answer and they never leave a message.

Some here say they're Candian Center for Aids and Release or Canadian Physicians for AIDS & Relief. Neither is a registered charity with the Canadian government. Don't deal with them and complain to authorities and phone companies.

Got this call at work. Robo-call of a female identifying herself as "Janine" from Audit Systems.

I just hung up.

I checked the list of Canadian charities on the http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/charities website and did in fact find the Canadian Physicians for AIDS & Relief listed, BN/Registration Number:      118835230RR0001
