Peter Mass Web ads.  I placed a classified ad with the Arkansas Democrat Gazette using my cell number as the contact phone number.  I started getting calls daily.  I finally  had to listen to the whole message to find out that to quit getting the calls, I had to push a number to get off the calling list.  It took about 2 minutes to complete the call.

Received the same call information as above on my cell home, instead of putting my ad for my business in the newspaper I placed an ad online classified in Pennsylvania. The recorded meassage want to place a web site with their business, meanwhile I have a succefull web site which I design and manage myself. My cell phone number is on the Nationwide Do Not Call List.

I filed a complaint at www.ftc.gov
It is against rules to place automated sales calls to cell phones.

I placed an add in the Berkshire Eagle, my local paper,  that included my home phone number.  Peter Moss or Peter Ross (can't really hear the name clearly) from 800-761-4544 leaves an automated message on my anwering maching and they call me over and over wanting me to spend $90 to place my ad with them instead of my local paper.  This automated message eats up my answering machine time and real people who are trying to answer my ligitimate ad with my local paper can not get through and when I come home my answering machine is often full.  This is a method for them to try to get me to spend money with them as my respondees wouldn't be able to get through to me.  Also, they are using the info in my local paper to take their customers away, and I'm not doing it!  We need to support our local newspapers or they won't be in business any longer.  If you value your local papers, don't support this, and don't support someone who is thwarting your efforts to get your ads in your newspapers responded to.    I am forwarding all this information to the Berkshire Eagle, and hopefully this can be stopped, as it is not fair to them or their customers.

Actually, I got a call from (647)258-5082 and in the voicemail that was left when I didn't answer, they referred me to (800)761-4544 if I want to do business with them, by getting online adverts. Ironically, they never mentioned the website URL. If this continues we are going to have to lobby to have cell service providers allow us to set up REFUSED numbers for free.

Since it's a robo-call, you can complain even if you are not on the Do Not Call registry.

Placed an ad on Cars.com. Been getting robo-calls from "guaranteed third-party sellers."
This sounds like one of them.

Received multiple recorded solicited calls and finally called the number back and told them to stop calling and harassing me.  Actually got a live person who was so incredibly rude to me and without any concerns for consequences when I asked to speak with her supervisor.  She only threatened to hang up on me, which she did after I gave her my number and asked to be removed from the solicitations.  After actually placing ads in a local publication, I immediately started receiving calls from this number/company.  Would NEVER do business with this company after the way I was treated me over the phone.

placed an ad in local paper also.  never again-canceling my subscription also.  get calls from this number and stupid recorded message on voicemail.  filed a complaint with the do not call registry.  i was already on the list.

I am having a problem with robo calls that resulted from an ad I placed in the Arkansas Democrat Gazette.  The people are very persistent.  I used my Google phone number in the ad, and I was able to block them from my Google phone number.  They tracked down my cell phone number and now I get robo calls several times per day.

I have asked them to stop, but the calls keep on coming, several times per day, advertising their web site.

Placed ad in local newspaper and got the following calls:
10/18/11: unknown name 1-866-813-2215 3:15 pm automated  left message.  from Peter Moss ? at acewebads.com… have a fantastic this business call is giving you a …known exact words to put in your ad…website, facebook and twitter.  Guarantee if not sold in month, continue to run ad for FREE.  Special limited offer $90.  

10/25/11: unknown 1-866-813-2215 10:19 am automated.  I pressed 9 and waited to talk to someone.  Answering machine said they were busy and leave a message.  Requested DO NOT CALL along with on National Do not call list and violating this…I am not a business so shouldn’t be calling.

10/25/11: toll free call 888-761-4544 11:45 am real person Amanda.  She didn’t want to listen to concern…said she was busy and had others to call.  Said she would put on their Do not call list and would be completed within 24 hours.

Called back on 991-0101 number and asked for their web site.  www.Acerenting.com or www.acewebads.com  There is no local information for business that I could find.
