This company took me to court, they garnished 25% of my wages - Brit| 1 replyI have been receiving phone calls from this place for about a month and all they are saying is a case number. Today came home and there was a message from a Leonard Murray and that if I did not call I would be served at my place of employment and at my home. I do not know what this is in regards to and never received anything in the mail. I am not sure if this is a scam or if it is real.

- OHWHATEVER replies to deleted post| 1 replySHILL!! Call your State Attorney General's Office and verify if payday loans are even legal in your state. Also, if it is legal, what is the cap in your state. As in, what is the most interest that payday loan can charge. Most payday loans charge more interest than is allowed in that state. Illegal!! Deal directly with the payday lender. Finally, call your local courthouse and ask if any warrants, lawsuits or any legal actions have been filed against you. Chances are NO!!!!!
This fool who stated a professional woman showed up at work with papers...I don't buy it!! Just do your homework!! A judge would LOVE to get a payday loan scammer in court!! The legal system is cracking down on payday loaners. They are low lifes!! - aaa replies to OHWHATEVEROHWHATEVER...your so right, these low lifes work for this low life lying sleazy company

- MelissaSubmitted a complaint with the FTC, the BBB, and the Attorney General. I do not owe any money- period. They will not verify debt and attempted to collect personal information from my employer. Their debt collecting practices are illegal. Debt collectors cannot threaten to sue you or garnish your wages. The BBB gives them a rating of F. They have not responded to any complaints filed against them. Know your rights and exercise them!

- anonymous| 1 replythe legal threats and implication a law suit has commenced should be reported to the FCC. Recently another collection firm was fined--I believe Asset Acceptance--for these same intimidation tactics which are violations of Federal laws. I could see working with these people if they didn't use tactics such as these.
