I was also his up by ADELE SERVICES800-764-8104 NY on my debit card for .22 cents, when I googled them I found a few sites with complaints of the same thing. I immediately called my bank and they cancelled my card and are issuing a new one. They said the company was testing my account and would come back to charger larger amounts later.

If you see this CANCEL your card immediately. I also filed a complaint at http://www.ic3.gov
Do not take any chances, keep a close eye on your accounts, especially close to the holidays.

I also was charged .21 on 11/20/08. I did not receive a phone call but I noticed the charge today and called the bank to file a fraud complaint. When asked the last purchased I made using the card I rattled of all the places I went shopping yesterday. Come to find out it was a card that should of been CANCELLED over a month ago when I received my new card. The last purchase was made in OCTOBER. So these people have had your information for awhile. I then offically cancelled that card and my husbands card. I filed a fraud complaint with my bank and the FBI. I am highly upset that the card was no cancelled when the new one was activated, the fraud investigator also said its "supposed" to be cancelled. I am thinking of cancelling my bank account moving to another bank.

I suggest everyone call their banks ASAP and get that card cancelled. Please tell everyone you know so these people get caught!

my debit card was charged by Adele Services for $0.24 on 11/21/2008. No idea who they are, or how they got a hold of my bank card info. Did the same- cancelled my card

I noticed a 11/21/2008 $0.22 charge from ADELE SERVICES on my credit card account while looking at it on line.  I called my credit card service and they gave me an 800 number for ADELE SERVICES.  The phone # was disconnected so I Googled it and found this site.  

I cancelled my credit card and will file charge dispute forms with my bank.

On the 20th I Noticed a pending charge for $0.23 from ADELE SERVICES MELVILLE NY on my Bank of America Checking account. I called them and they said there's nothing they can do about a "Pending" charge, that I have to wait until it finalizes. So I told them that I know this is fraud and that it's also happening to thousands of other people as I read all the post when I googled the Name or Number and that they must be "Testing" the card and coming back later and charging anywhere from $111 and $1100 so I had them to cancel and BLOCK my card number and issue me a new one. Once the transaction finalized I called the bank back and filed a claim on the fraud transaction. I also wrote the bank email with links to all the blogs like this one listing people after people being victumized by these people.  I also filed a Complaint with the FBI IC3 website. Now I just cross my fingers and hope I got my card canceled in time before the second BIGGER charge comes though. This number belongs to a identity theft terrorist, Adele Services of NY, who drains banks accounts slowly. My bank BOA just caught my account and charges are being filed.

well i haven't received a phone call, but just had a $0.22 charge on a credit card that doesn't get used and from what i can tell, there's another $0.22 pending charge.  the credit card company says it's "pet services".  ironically, while i do have a dog, there's only one store i go to and it's a small local one here in CA.  fortunately chase is canceling the card and issuing a new one now.

These people also did us for 23 cents.  Luckily my bank caught it and immediately called us.  We ordered a new debit card.

Just found out $.24 was taken from my account too. SCARY THING IS!! we do not have any cads for this account NEVER did. BEWARE. WE are calling our bank to see why and how this happened. There has never been a withdrawl from this account until now.

My bank told me this is a pet store.  Cancel your card immediately if you have been charged.

Just got charged .24 cents from Adele also.  On the phone now with Bank of America disputing charge and replacing card.  Not sure how they got a hold of my account information either.

Got charged on my account - call bank ASAP.  What a pain for card cancellation.  How do they get these credit card numbers?  I never answer my cell unless I know the person.

I also got hit $0.22 same phone # and company. # is out of service and am having to cancel my debit card and get new ones. What a pain in the butt.

I don't think this is related to Petco in any way.  My card had a charge from this "Adele Services" but I have never purchased anything on this card from Petco.

Someone else has suggested it could be related to florists, but I haven't purchased any flowers on this card, either.

I suspect if there is a security breach behind this, it would come from a smaller merchant - I did buy some home improvement supplies from a small online retailer a while back - anyone else?

11/21/08  a charge of $.25 appeared on my debit card account.  Stated it was for Adele Services 1-800-764-8104.
The Merchant Category reads Pet Shop- Pet Food.
I too called the # and the number is out of service.  I called my bank and had to put a stop on my debit card and have a new one issued.
How does this happen?  Scary!

It seems to be mostly Checkcards, and some credit cards that are getting this 20something cent charge. I was hit too on my VISA checkcard. I called bank had them cancel my card and issue a new number.

I wonder though, is it just VISA Cards?  Cause I seem to recall some time back a news thing saying that the VISA data base was hacked but they don't think the numbers were access....now lets say the numbers WERE access, and the people that got them sat on them for a year or so and waited. Well, since Most creditcards reissue new cards about every year or so, then those would not be any good anymore, CheckCards however are good for several years which would make since, why it's mostly check cards and could be from back when the VISA data base was hacked.

Was it VISA that there charges are on for everyone or is it Mastercard too?  I bet it's just VISA CC's and VISA Checkcards.
