they talked real fast and said something about in their office

Just got a new number on a cell about two weeks ago, out of the blue I start getting these automated messages "If you are "last name, first name" please do not hang up, this is not a telemarketing call"...

So I finally have enough and call the number, it's some sort of collection agency for Check N Go/Bank of Delaware.  After trying for almost half an hour to explain that this was my new cell number, I have never heard of the person their damn recording is trying to reach, speaking with two agents and finally the biggest ass of a "supervisor" I think I have ever delt with (no matter what type of company) I was basically told either I was a liar and I was actually the person they were trying to reach, or I was a liar and was just answering her phone for her.

I reported them to my phone company and I've also reported this group to the BBB.  

I understand collections, but the absolute idiocy of these people amaze me.

I received a couple of desperate sounding voice mails from these people (it was First Bank of Delaware).  According to my records, I had made the last payment on my short-term loan with them but somehow I figure they're pushing the panic button.  

One of the voice mails was nice and professional (from a different number).  The other (from this number) was obviously a scripted threat of some sort.

A message was left on my home phone, using my previous married name (red flag #1).  The message was:

"Hi, this message is for  xxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxx , my name is Heather calling from Checking Online. I need for you to return my call at 800 769 1058 xt 875 (pause) 8753, again the number is 800 769 1058 xt 8753. It is very important that I do get a return call from you.  Thank you."

Apparently, she doesn't know her own extension number (red flag #2).  I also don't know of any business with this company (red flag #3).  I don't write checks, so it shouldn't be a collection for a bounced check (red flag #4).  When I have tried to call the number, I just get a busy signal (red flag #5).

It just reeks of phishing.

I have been in contact with this company, Checking Online.  Apparently, someone has stolen my SSN and opened an account and they are trying to collect.  As soon as she realized that I was not the person who took the loan, she was very helpful.  No phishing here. I was pleasantly surprised at how helpful she was.

Some lady called early in the morning asking for Rebecca in a very rude manner.  I kept telling her she had dialed the wrong number or perhaps someone had given her the wrong number.  The caller did not want to listen and just clicked.  This woman keeps calling every morning. It's really strange.

Most of the time only the area code 513 shows with no phone number showing.  Can't understand the name of the company.  Voice sounds like some old woman with monotone voice that sounds like the angel of death.  Keep getting these calls but have no idea why.  In the last voice message there was this 1-8000-769-1058 number to call.  Am certainly not going to call back any number of someone have never heard of.  Have seen write ups about people doing that and then getting billed thousands of dollars after redirected to some offshore location.  How does one report these people and have them fined heavily enough to get it stopped?

No idea who is calling from this number but I get a call from them at least 3 or 4 times a day. I give them, and all 800 numbers/strange area codes the "F YOU" button. Wish there was a way to block them from cell phones, I've figured out how to do it for a landline

I have been receiving calls for someone I don't know from this number for the past several days. The callers have all said that they couldn't take my number off their list because it had been "verified" as a good number for the person they are trying to reach. One person told me I could fax a letter requesting my number to be removed to (513)793-0674. However, this didn't work. The following day another caller said I had to send a letter by mail to: 4540 Cooper Road, Suite 200, Cincinnati, OH 45242. Not sure yet whether this is effective but hope it's helpful to someone else.

They call my work at least 10 times a day asking for someone who works the night shift.  I've told them that they cannot call this number, and they just laugh and hang up.  I have no way to leave this person a message since this is a medical center and there is no voicemail for people who aren't managers....really annoying.

These people call me all times of the day and night and said that there was gonna be a lawsuit against me so I  told them to sue me cause they could not give me the correct information on there company and you can't understand nothing they are sayin so they hung up in my face. Now they are just calling me and hanging up.. I reported them to the attorney general and lets see whats gonna happen. They should not be calling people back to back every hour on the hour like we are stupid.

Recd a voicemail from Joe at the Corporate office wanting me to return his call as we have business to discuss.  He is not from my corporate office.  He called from 800-783-7376 and wanted me to return the call to 800-769-1058

The company is CheckNGO I checked online and its a payday loan company. they also do auto loans and other crap i dont want.

I received a call from this #, whom they say is CORPORATE office for Check N GO. I had an account with them for 1 or 2 years and I had my abnk acount hacked into, for the 2nd time.I took the bank documents showing where my acct was had a FREEZE HOLD on it for this hack (from this "law firm" that took "some very beleivable documents" that whomever teller it was presented to allowed/him her to put this FREEZE in my bank acct. I cannot open checking accts because of this. The manager at the location I had taken the loan out in understood after seeing what happened to the funds I had in my account. I had been paying every 2 weeks to pay them off, until just last week, I couldn't because I had to catch up with other merchants that I had to pay as well as my rent/utilites/insurance/food/gas for car.
WELL, I got a call on my cell as I was on my break...the 1st guy I spoke to wa going to work a apy-out plan for half of what I remained owing them,,,then he said he'd talk to HIS sprvsr.  I was put on hold , and then a RYAN got on the phone and he was totally the opposite of the 1st guy I spoke to( MIKE??)..
RYAN wanted me to pay the entire balance off...I told him I couldn't do anything this month because of other bills I needed to catch up on ( told him I was doing w/out my RX medication just to try & catch up to my other merchants/creditors)...so he BLATANTLY SAID HE WASGOING TO PUT ME DOWN ON FILE AS " REFUSED TO PAY"...I told him I was NOT refusibg, just not able to pay until mid April...he got RUDE and said he wanted me to go and get a pre-paid VISA card so he could put it on record and they would take out the funds from there...I told him AGAIN..I DON'T HAVE THE FUNDS ...YOU DON"T UNDERSTAND BECAUSE IT DIDN"T HAPPEN TO YOU...he got me angry..so I told him I was going to put a complaint to the FTC and IC3.gov as to his methods of collections....BUT that I was going to put this on the complaint so FTC & IC3.gov can see that I am NOT a REFUSED TO PAY...what I am is unable to pay the full amount ..( MIKE said He could put down for 1/2 off the Full balance but that I wouldn't be able to go and take a loan out with Check N Go anymore AND that they wouldn't put it on my credit reports...then this RYAN throws a different arrangement and because I DON'T have the money today, he's putting me down as REFUSED TO PAY.)
ALSO that I couldn't go into the location I took the loan out to make payments.
This RYAN at 800-769-1058 wanted it HIS way and he REFUSED to work with my situation. I told him I wasn't giving him any personal information over the phone either. I ALSO TOLD HIM NOT TO CALL ME ANYMORE BECAUSE I WAS GOING TO REPORT HIM AND THAT HAPPENED TO ME WAS NOT DONE DELIBERATELYAND I DIDN'T PLAN THIS EITHER.   ( BEWARE OF THESE PEOPLE!!! They are obviously collection agencies.)...RYAN didn't seem to care about my situation nor HOW long I had been a customer, he wanted "blood out of a turnip"...didn't care what other bills I had to pay...that I had a job and steady income and that I needed to pay the balance off....FUNNY how they didn't want to sent me any papers to sign to this "agreement" ..wanted all over the phone...
To all others out there..NEVER ...EVER GIVE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE TO ANYONE...YOU DON'T KNOW IF IT'S LEGIT...ASK FOR DOCUMENTS TO BE SENT FOR YOU TO HAVE PROOF OF AGREEMENTS!!

calls and hangs up, wether i answer the phone or not, they just hang up.
that is against fcc regulations
i did see where this situation had been turned around and a lady won a suit against a company for harrassment due to breaking of FCC regulations. 3 calls from the same number constitutes harrassment, unfortunately they have the upperhand with your credit info. an electronic caller, not a person calling is also against FCC regulations.
there are laws regulating how telephones are used in America.
they are breaking these laws.

There is    On android phone it is a app called call block you just add the number to the blacklist and when they call the app noticed it is a blacklist number it auto ends the call and then they go to voicemail.

This company, Check-N-Go, keeps calling my personal cell number looking for someone named Curtis Myers.  I have told them repeatedly that I do not know this person.  
He obviously gave them a fake phone number.  I have asked to be removed from their list and take MY number off of his file.  I was informed that they verified the number was a good number.  OF COURSE IT IS A GOOD NUMBER - IT IS MINE!  Curtis Myers evidently does NOT pay his bills or he would give them his CORRECT phone number - if he had one!
I have faxed in my removal request and they are STILL calling my phone number.  Where do I file a harrassment suit?

These people are repeatedly calling my office.  Please tell me how you blocked them from calling a land line.  It is not only annoying, but stopping work for several employees.  Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

My identity info was stolen and the thief made a payday loan for $1500 from Check N Go online on Sept 10 and renewed it on Oct 3 with no $$ in his account for the renewal fee. So Check n Go started calling my work number and I quickly found out about this fraud. Reported it to their fraud line and got a pile of paperwork to have notarized, after I get a police report, which takes 10 days. So......in the meantime, these idiots are calling me at work, told them they must stop. So now they call me at work in the evening, when my office is closed. Really guys, almost as dumb as handing out $1500 over the internet, with no verification, to anyone who asks. All you have to have is a checking account, doesn't even have to be in your name, some poor sap's name, address and SSN and a fake email and rake in the dough.  Amazing, whatever happened to getting a signature and verifying phone numbers, bank account and so forth.
