Just received it too.  This is yet another Teleterrorist "Cold Call" to be entered into the 'PhoneTray'  list to be blocked!

A "Ms. Powell from " the electric co." (no name given), left a message stating that we are eligible for a reduction in our electric bill, and to call her back at 800-774-9421, and give reference # e-7722612. Also said to have our bill available for review.

Linda(?) Powell left a message (just like previous poster Diana mentioned). She said that she called from an "electric company" and because of the state choice program, we are eligible to receive a discount on our electric bill. She needs us to call back and review a copy of our bill in order to apply this promotion. We were given reference # e-7722612 and to call back at 1-800-774-9421. Sounds like a scam.

I got a recording today from a, I thought Wendy Powell.  It could have been Linda but the recording was not too clear.  Same script she used as all the others here.  Same ref # too.  I think it is some utility company trying to get business.  But of course, the fact the they don't even mention the company's name, even if she works for a legitimate company, is automatic refusal in my book.

My elderly parents received a call from 899-774-9421 from Dorothy Chapman/Kaplan about State Choice Program. Have a bill ready for review when you call back and ref nu. E76214...nnot calling them back....

Yes, I got the same call from Wendy Powell ("from the State Choice Program" - I live in New York), 800-774-9421.  Same reference number: e-7722612 - that gives it away right there.  Wants to review my bill - guess that's what they're after.

Got the same call from Dorothy Chapman. My ref # was e-76214.  Did not call back.
