I got a phone call from this number and was told that they were from Windows Support and that my computer was being hacked.  These guys were really  slick and high pressure.

Used the "Microsoft Tech Support calling" scam (my elderly mom fell for it).
The number rings back to a voicemail for "Adam Smith" and you will get a call back from someone who does not sound like an Adam Smith who wants your name but won't give his or his company's name.

I had a bad feeling about this call from the get go. "Devett Wilson" gave me the 800-787-5259 number to call back when I wouldn't allow him to SCAN my computer. Bad part is , this is for my company and we indeed do have a call in to Microsoft for issues on a new computer. When I called back, it rang with an automated "this call will be recorded" message. With absolutely NO mention of it being affiliated with MS in any way. Sounded like they are all sitting in a big open warehouse on phones trying to scam people out of a $99 fee to FIX the issues. How they are getting to actual people with service tickets a MS is a little scary to me!

I also received a call from this number, a number of times. Instead of hanging up this time I used my own high pressure tactics on the guy. By the time he hung up, the guy didn't know if he was coming or going. LOL. I talked about everything from computers too world peace. I think someone is going too submit this number for all those pop ads you receive when you're on the web. See how they handle those robo calls.

Got a call from a guy who claimed that his name was Mark Broad and he was in Phoenix AZ. He said my computer was infected and he could fix the issue. He also said his company name was MW Support LLP. The background noise on the phone was so loud I concluded that the call came from a large "calling center" vs. any place that does actual computer repairs. I anyone calls you from this number avoid them like the plague!

Got several calls from this guy "Rick William" from "Microsoft Windows Service Center in Wilmington, De", when I questioned what the call was in reference to he was pushy, and demanding.  I asked multiple times what the call was in reference to & he just kept asking me when was the last time I accessed my Microsoft account.  I told this person I was not answering any questions until they told me why they were calling & he got hostile.  I advised this person I believe the call is a scam and to remove my phone #, I then hung up.

I received a call on my landline phone from someone identifying himself from Windows Support. I ask the caller do you mean Microsoft and he said yes. I then ask him for his employeee id which he gave me as \MSW 9874 and a call back number 800-787-5259. He said he was calling from Delaware. I said I will call you back. I did not return return the call. This person also had a foreign accent. I checked Microsoft Help on scammers and it says they will never leave a phone number and they will not generate a call to clients first. The client must generate a call to Microsoft. I have received calls a few times where the caller identified himself as Windows Support. Scammers are slick and  just won't quit with their need to scam people.
