They called me as well, at 11:30pm PST. Tried to explain me they are from Microsoft Tech Emergency. It seems to be an India based callcenter.

They usually call about 10:30 at night then again around 12 or 12:30 am. I never answer. I blocked the number and it still rings.  Isn’t there something that can be done to stop this harrassment?.

Called at 1:33am.  Yes, 1:33 IN THE MORNING!  I thought someone had died.  Thankfully that wasn't the case!  I didn't answer since I read the caller ID.  I am now plotting my revenge...

Got a call last night at 11:36 PM - I answered after 2 rings - I said it's 11:30 at night, who are you calling, nobody said anything - I said don't call this number again, and I hung up.  I answered before I looked at Caller ID because we had just had an shooting at a local Walmart where 3 people were killed - I was afraid the call was from one of my friends who goes to that store.  Sure wish there was some way to get rid of these guys. Caller ID showed 800 Service where name should be.  Same number called at 10:05 PM on Oct 27th - I didn't answer - no message left.

Reading the previous reports, you might notice many are claiming it's phony tech support. That means you're dealing with crooks in India, where 12AM your time is 12PM theirs and within business hours. That also makes catching them worse than looking for a needle in a haystack as well. The less participants they have (receivers ignoring their calls entirely), the more problems they're going to have. Let your phone ring if you can, disconnect the line, or turn off the ringer on a landline if you won't miss any emergencies. If you can miss calls completely, these clowns are very easy to beat after a while.

those idiots called me at 9:30 pm and 11:30 pm, yesterday. i didn't recognize the phone number. so, i simply didn't answer the phone. they don't leave a message. after the 11:30 call i, with great relief, pressed the "CALL BLOCK" button on my handset. that is my solution to this annoyance.
my Panasonic phone (landline, not cell) with corded handset on the base unit, recorder in base, two cordless handsets is great. you can block up to 250 numbers by simply pressing Call Block button. the phone costs around $100. you can view it on Amazon.com. the Call Block feature alone makes this priceless.

Caller ID: 800 Service.  Claims to be from Windows Support, calling about an urgent situation on my computer.  They have called about a dozen times in the last week (I made the mistake of answering the first since I was expecting a call from a legitimate company), 7 times in just the last three days, 8:00 a.m., 10:30 p.m.

I have received no less than 5 calls from this number today...I don't answer calls from numbers, people, businesses I do not know...because of the frequency of the calls, I originally thought a family member might be trying to reach me with bad news but I checked the caller ID and it is shown as 800 Service...I would like to know what the point is of being on the "Do Not Call List" when it seems like every scammer/idiot/pain in the butt calls me...LEAVE ME ALONE!
