- JakeGot a call from this number. Very rude and demanding person on the other end who insisted that I verify a check for a person I never heard of. I told them "no way would I verify a check over the phone and I had no idea who the person is that is trying to cash the check." The reply was "Well I guess I will just have to press charges."
Company that called did not give a name but I think it is a Pay Day Loan company.- Caller: unknown
- NicoleThis company has called me 8 times stating that I verified a check for $1500 and they want to know why I did that? I explained to them that no such call took place and I don't bank with the bank noted on the check however they are bombarding us with these phone calls.

- BigA replies to christianPlease post all the information you have on them here so that we can research them. Everything that is in that letter. This is what they letter should have said:
It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and that they have the legal right to collect it. You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
