these idiots called me several times and pretended that I asked for a quote.  I NEVER asked for a quote and I asked the idiots to stop bothering me.  The company is called NetQuote and I think that they are scam artists out of Denver.

Repeated calls, despite asking them to remove me from any lists. I never signed up for anything. I'm certainly not looking for insurance.....

This number has called me several times in the past three days. And all my phone numbers are on the National Do Not Call list! Great to see how well that works! At least on my cell I can ignore the call. Still annoying.

I want these callers stopped.  Someone filled out a form in my name for Insurance quotes.  None of the information was correct except my name and phone number!!

This number is for Insurancequotes.com.   Immediately before their call, I received one from one sounding like from India, asking about Homeowners insurance needs. Insurancequotes.com uses leads from this offshore phone bank to then pass on the information to individual insurance agents - three levels of scum. This smells like a cynical work-around to the Do-Not-Call Registry, so I'm handling it like I do ALL telemarketers:
* I gave the Indian callers bogus info about myself and my house.
* I gave insurancequotes.com completely different info when they called. Then I reported them to the BBB for unethical advertising practices.
* As the individual agents contact me, I give them even different info as they request it. I get them to mail me a quote (to a bogus address, of course). If they smell something fishy during my run-around, I may explain to them how they got my number (if they don't know), and that they are co-conspirators in violating the DNCR.
GREAT FUN, and it appears that tactics like this are the only thing that will ultimately stop the remnants of telemarketers that disregard the DNCR...
