There is a lot of complaints on the internet and under the BBB. - LaniRepeatedly receiving mailing to my elderly mother, who does not drive. "Vehicle Notification Department". Has dates of contracts, termination dates, all sorts of codes and coverages and datelines. Designed to be as scary and official as possible without actually saying anything regarding actual car, repair and warranties. In microscopic print at bottom on back of letter states from AutoAssure, LLC, 6400 Pinecrest Drive, Suite 400, Plano, TX 75024-2959. Phone 1-800-795-8169. Also in very, very fine print " You may have been selected to receive this special limited time offer from AutoAssure, LLC because of the make and model of your vehicle." They are skirting as closely as they can to the edge of the fraud pond, hoping they will hook someone into this fakey spam. I like the suggestion of mailing them back trash, as this is what this is -- taking advantage of the elderly or the fearful.

- JoanneReceived letter in the mail stating my warranty will expire. My warranty expired in 2008. Nothing but a scam from these dirt bags! Something should be done about this!
- Caller: A letter

- DonnaReceived a notice from "VEHICLE NOTIFICATION DEPARTMENT" ( no company ID) regarding a factory warranty for my 11 year old car, which, unbelieveably is covered by a current warranty from a very reputable company. This most certainly is a scam. I discarded the notice by shredding it.

- jeremiahMy sister received a letter from " Vehicle Notification Department" asking her to call 800-795-8169 or her car warranty would expire. My sister passed away several years ago so knew it was a scam and also because they didn't list a return address. These people should work this hard finding a real job. Don't know why they are not arrested and prosecuted.

- Jake replies to FrankI got one today too. Figured it was junk.
- Jake replies to JackI get calls from so many different numbers. If I don't recognize the number or it says unknown number, I let the answering machine get it.
- NonReceived a notification in the mail with no return address just a phone# to call. It was addressed to my mom who hadn't owned a car in over twenty years. She's been dead for two years. Scam? Heck yeah.

- So jealous| 1 replyWait! Someone got a self addressed envelope with their spam? I have been here long, long ago. It was so obvious a scam "important.personal" No vehicle named...etc. As for phone calls, I very sweetly answer so there will seem to be a human "sucker" on the other end...then I carefully lay the receiver on the end table....robo may hear television or a barking dog. A live person once said, Wait! don't hang up. So I didn't....I walked away.

- BigA replies to So jealousIt appears that address does lead to a valid company name. Now you have enough information to sue them for $500 per phone call and teach them a lesson. Or you can do nothing and not only get no money for the harassment, but enable them to keep scamming people. Your choice to be a hero or an accomplice.
- BFNot a call but the dreaded letter to call the above phone number. Why isn’t this a Federal offense to mail letters across states to harass honest citizens. We are not talking simple advertising & offers in this case, we are talking intimidation and false information to coerce people to respond or else. I would say that’s a threat and needs to legally be treated as such. This is not fair practice towards the elderly and what this could do to their health or anyone for that matter. I’ll not stand for this.

- PattiI have received many "notices" regarding the factory warranty expiring. We have owned our vehicles for many years! Received a letter today! States "No other notices will be sent for this offer. This will be our only attempt to contact you about your expiring factory warranty. Your file on this vehicle will be deleted and you may no longer be eligible for this offer after 7/14/18." Mailed in a plain white window envelope with only my name and address showing. Letter head is "Vehicle Notification Department". I would hope this SCAMER(S) GET CAUGHT AND PUNISHED!

- Brandy| 1 replyI keep getting letters and phone calls. This is a scam. How can I block this number ?
- Caller: Vehicle Notification Department
- Tygerkat replies to BrandyWith a call blocker.
- DougWDeceptive mailer sent to a deceased individual who obviously can't own or operate a car. Bottom dwelling slime. That makes it self-evident that the information they supposedly have about "your vehicle" is flatly a lie.
I'm not sure about you but the last person I'd trust with any insurance is a liar or fraud. - AnnoyedSame with me here. Numerous letters all stating I must contact them immediately about my vehicle and if I chose to ignore their notices, I will be liable. Unless they are willing to give me coverage for the broomstick I fly around on, I'll ignore this crap. I don't own any vehicles nor do I drive any, so this is a total scam designed to scare people into handing over money to them for simmering completely bogus!
