The number is a scam.  The automated message on the line claims to be Cars.com's transaction department.  Cars.com does not have a transaction department nor does this number belong to them.  The voice on the line will tell callers to hold until a representative is available.  Some hold music will play for a few minutes before you are told that no one is available and the call disconnects.  A day later, you'll receive a call from that number with a live person asking you for your transaction number.  DO NOT SEND THIS PERSON ANY MONEY.  HE IS TRYING TO SCAM YOU.
