- madI Gat a call from Britney Monrow saying that I won a Ford Explorer in the 2013 Ford Explorer cold cash give
away.- Call type: Telemarketer
- mad22I received the same type call from Brittney Monroe, but she didn't say I won a particular car, just that I was a definite winner of one of their top prizes and I should call them back. I don't recall registering to win a car from Ford, but I do sign up for similar things on occasion so can't be sure I didn't. I received the same call about a week ago and did not return the call because I don't really think it's legit due to the way the recorded call was handled. I don't intend to call them this time either since I think it's either a scam or just a marketing ploy to get people to contact them, then try to sell them something.
- jwHave gotten couple calls from this number. Same name given as above, claiming to be "Prize Claim Center in Oxford" (I ASSUME Alabama, since that's nearby.) I called back to get taken off calling list. Male voice answered and said, "Please hold," then got put on endless muzak. After less than 2 minutes I hung up, figuring this is an outright scam, possibly involving rolling to a number that bills to your account for a toll call. Undoubtedly a scam; only question is of what kind.
- Caller: Prize Claim Center
- SeanYeah, i just got the same call
- PhylI got the call on my answering machine saying I had won a prize. I could call back between 9am to 9pm. When I did call back they said to leave a message. I too think it is a scam. Will not accept call as I have caller Id.

- CharlesSame as above. Call from a Brittney (Britney) Monroe, Claims Director, that I had been drawn as a top winner on a vehicle. This came in 26 February 2013. Since it was telemarketing, and I've been on the National Do Not Call list since it's creation, I'm simply going to file a complaint with the FCC.
- Caller: Unknown

- L.G.Yes, got the same message yesterday. Didn't register for anything r/t Ford. Also don't think she is really from Oxford since she pronouned it more like Axford. Seriously fake and way too happy.
- SickOfTheCalls| 1 replyI just got a call from a different number, but they said to call back to the 800-817-7420 number (I am a guaranteed winner of a 'Dream Getaway Sweepstakes'!). Obviously they use different numbers and different sweepstakes to hook people, so I am reporting the call under this number, plus the number they used to call, 800-809-9970. They are both scams.
- Caller: SickOfTheCalls
- SickOfTheCalls replies to SickOfTheCallsThe caller is actually Unknown, not my own nickname...

- mL/alabamaAt 11:45 am on March 7,2013 I received a call that said, NAME NOT FOUND/11800-817-7420..The automated voice said, that we had been selected in the Ford givaway and we had definitly won a prize. I went online to ID the number and found these simular if not Identical entries from other people who got the call also. I knew it was a scam and will add this to my "Fraud/Scam" file I am composing for Rhonda Robinson.

- Parker McArthurSome little bimbo calling herself "Britney Monroe" left a message on my voice mail, urging me to call this number because I'm a DEFINITE prize winner. Hey, Brit-Brit, if you know my number, you must ALSO know my address. Just send that prize on over.
Gee, I guess a LOT of people have won a prize in the 2013 Cool Car Giveway! Awesome! Isn't it great that you can win a contest YOU NEVER EVEN ENTERED????!! I'm waiting for the Publishers Clearinghouse Prize Patrol to show up at my door any day now.
Good grief, these scam artists are getting crafty.- Caller: No clue

- CynI received this message earier today: Call 1 800 817 7420 ..in my best interest...I've won a prize. Brittany Monroe...Sounded fish to me...reported to Alabama Business Bureau. They have received numerous calls.
- Cyn replies to TiredofItI received the same call on my answering machine this morning. LOL
- LM-alabamaSame robocall...scumbag bottom feeders but these jerks leave a message.
I never answer calls from numbers I don't recognize or are not identified.
Reporting them does no good, these are criminals, they don't abide by laws. They constantly change the numbers they use so tracing them is almost impossible.
I have found ways to eliminate most of the extremely irritating constant calls that come day and night and turn the landline off when I'm not working.
If I didn't have to have a phone for my work I'd get rid of the dang thing.
And now that I get these calls on my cell phone it is doubly irritating. At least with the cell phone I could download a silent ringtone and assign them all to that. aahhhhh, silence is golden.- Caller: Telemarketer aka thief

- Dawn in GeorgiaWell Brittany left a message today and ask that we call 800-817-7420 to claim the 2013 Ford Exployer, you all could not have won the top prize because I did...lol
Just about every call we get is from telemarketers and just like most of you, we have been on the DNC list for years. Since we both have cell phones and all our friends have the number, I think I'm going to disconnect the land line...- Caller: Prize claim center in Oxford

- IM A WINNER!I got the same message today from 800-817-7420 about a Ford Explorer except Amber Watts was the caller. The message said it would be in my best interest to call 800-918-9970.
So I googled the numbers as I always do when I get one of these type calls and found this thread. I decided to call the number from a phone at my work and here is what I got.
I got a message asking my to hold, after a couple of seconds, then a transfer to a real person who also asked me to hold, after only a couple of seconds more, another real person answered and asked if I was calling about the prize.
She wanted my name, which I made up as Robert Degrafelow, don't ask me where that came from. Sorry Robery if you actually exist. She wanted my phone number, which I also made up. Then she wanted my wife's name. Not thinking it mattered, I said I wasn't married. She then informed me that the prize was only for married couples. I asked what difference that made and she said that they handle prize claims for a number of different organizations across the country and ALL the winners had to mark that they were married on the entry form to qualify to be a winner and that someone called me by mistake.
I asked what entry form? She said that either I, or some friend or family member must have filled out one of the entry forms at a local business in the last year.
I know full well that neither I nor my wife filled out any entry forms because we know that those are just a way for companies to get your info so they can harrass you to buy something. Could someone else have filled out a form with our name? Its possible I guess.
But clearly they aren't giving a way cars to all these "winners" and they do state in the message that you have already won, or at least in mine they did.
There is no question that this is some shadey sales tactic or an outright scam. I asked the woman if she could provide me with any more information to help me figure out what kind of scam it was, just to see what response I would get. She assured me it was not a scam and that she would take my name and number off their list and hung up.- Caller: Prize Claim Sweepstakes
