Male caller left voicemail asking for a return call. Gave no company name or subject/reason for call. Left phone number: 800-821-1258, x5714. I did not return the call.

also received phone message similar to other callers asking to be called back on 800#.  Caller ID indicated the 781-749-7601 number and name "Talbot Cor....".  I did not call back.

Thi scall is from Talbots

I have received several calls from this number also with my caller ID showing 'Talbots', but today was the first message I'd received.  

The caller asked for Margaret Alisha Paulson.  Since my first name is Alisha and the previous owner of our home was named Margaret Paulson, you can imagine I was skeptical and concerned.  I called them back and explained that there must be a mix up in their records and I was concerned because they're mixing our names together.  The woman explained that this was a collections call for a Talbots Woman's Clothing Store.  She verified the number I was calling from (from caller ID I assume since I didn't give it to her).  I explained that this seems something fishy because Margaret Paulson was the previous owner of the home but the number they were calling was the number of OUR previous residence.  She asked me to verify my personal information, which I flat out denied to do, and told her frankly that I felt this was a phishing scam.  

At this point she became VERY nice and thanked me for calling since I was helping them to not waste their time, and I would now no longer receive these calls.  She then promptly ended the call.  

Even if you have a Talbots account I would be very careful about calls from this number.  It may be legitimate, but you can't be too careful these days.
