And was it a scam?

I got a call saying i won grand sweepstakes giveaway today a lincoln navagator
havent called back  probably a scam

Seems that alot of people have have great news waiting for them from David for the Lincon Navigater contest that most of us don't remember entering.  I called the 800 number and got the answering machine.  Thought I will check before I did anything.  Looks like I was right.  This has to be a scam and a long running one too from the post dates I have seen.

David from the Prize Distribution Center apparently has many Lincoln Navigators waiting to give away...He did not actually SAY that I won, but said that he had "very good news" for me. I don't believe I would have entered a contest in which the prize was a Lincoln Navigator, so I too believe that it is a scam.

Message on answering machine: " Hi this is David at the Prize Distribution Center... contest for the Lincoln Navigator is over...
Congratulations... Please call back 1-800-821-2670.

david left a message stating i needed to call him back...congratulations, he has "good news" on my entry to win a lincoln navigator...never filled one out..

dave called me about winning a lincoln navigator,on friday ,today he called me again .asking me for a tax payment for a lincoln navigator.it was a scam

Today, David left a message about a contest in which prize was a Lincoln Navigator and "we have good news for you. Give us a buzz back at 1-800-821-2670."

Same nonsense as above.

Received a call from 708-808-3205 saying I entered a contest to win a Lincoln Navigator. The contest is now over and congradulations. I need to call back  800-821-2670..NOT!

Same B.S. this is a hoax folks! I don't know what they are after, but I got this same voicemail today concerning an entry that I supposedly made for a new Lincoln Navigator. Contest over, congratulations! We have good news for you, call 1-800-821-2670 ASAP! Called like a dumbass and got voicemail of David Mitchell telling me to leave my name, phone #, and state from which I was calling and he would get back to me when time allowed. Glad I found this site. This is [***], as many people are having this problem, will nobody do anything to bring these [***] down. Who the hell would want a Lincoln Navigator right now anyhow with gas $5 a frickin gallon.

I got the same call yesterday (7-2-08).  What do they stand to get out of the deal?  It doesn't really make sense.  Maybe their waiting to get ahold of some old people to milk them.  How do people file a complaint about a scam like this?  Does anyone know?

Hey, I won too.  David called me on Sunday the 6th of July.  What a great guy takinig time out from his 4th of July vacation.  With gas at $4.00 a gallon I will take the cash value.  Do people really fall for this stuff?

Same call about the Lincoln Navigator.  I know SUV values have plummeted but they are giving them away now?  HA HA

I just got the same call so glad I found this site...and my first thought was a Lincoln navigator...I don't want it...Wish they can track this david guy down.

I got the same call on 7/25 about 7:30 pm. Same story about winning the car. The call is coming from a 708 area code. 708-808-3205 is the number. Can't anyone stop this guy before he scams some out of there savings?

"David" called to say he "has good news" about the Grand Sweepstakes Giveaway.  I called the number and vmail message says to leave your name, number and the state you are calling from. I did not leave a message.  Contest prize winners are usually notified by registered mail and the documents state your name, the contect with ending date and that you are a "potential" winner.

David left message.  Congratulations.  You entered contest re Lincoln Navigator.  Call back with this # 800-821-2670

Another Lincoln Navigator scam call. This one told me to call 800 504-6196 and ask for Michelle.

I got a call from a woman telling me to call 866-488-0604 and ask for the director Michelle.  Same story, "good news on prizes from a Lincoln Navigator giveaway".  Do they get you to pay the taxes to them on it before they "release it to you"?  Unless someone gets these people, they are going to take some poor person for their life savings. Sad.
