what company is this

A service tech from Duke Energy said he was on his way over in 1/2 hr. to disconnect my service.  He gave me a ticket number and this toll free number to call to explain why.  The man at this number told me my account was past due and I owned approx. $250-.  My time was running out to stay connected.  We reported this to Duke Energy as my account was good.

This was a fake PG&E number. They claimed we didn't pay a bill and needed $500 else the power will be shut down. They wanted us to send cash through CVS.

Be careful if somebody call from this phone number saying you have to pay your PG&E bill. It's a scam. When you call it sounds like PG&E but it's not. Do not give any information to this people. PG&E doesn't threat to cut service in 1/2 hour. PG&E send a 15 days notice. Then they send a 24 hours notice. And the last chance they give you is when the technician goes out to cut out your service. He will ask first if you can pay over the phone or online. Never cash on the field!

A Carlos Medina called saying he was from PG&E saying we needed to make a cash payment or they were going to send someone out and turn off the power to the building. I was told to bring cash and given 2 addresses to make the payment, one location of which was a CVS. I contacted PG&E and they said this was a scam.

Total scam. Called here claiming we were behind with our PG&E bill. Gave me a reference number and said to call 800-821-2926.
We don't have a PG&E account.

Claiming to be Southern California Edison and if I didn't pay within half an hour my power would be turned off. Its a complete SCAM! Report it Edison right away!

We recieved a call from Carlos Medina, he told us our service would be shut off in about 45 minutes and then requested a call back to customer service 800-821-2926. When I called back I asked him if he had our account balance. He said he does not have access to that information, he would need my account number. I told him I was not comfortable giving him that information, but I have a job number that "Carlos" left. #Y239-415. I then asked him for his employee ID and he said 005Y. He offered to have his supervisor call us back from the 800 number. I told him, no thank you, I will call the real PG&E, and proceeded to look up the REAL number. They seem to be really good at having a fake PG&E number because they are using the same recording. You can try to push the number for the prompts but it only directs you to the same person. Damien. I called the number the "tech" was calling me from and I was directed to "Customer Service" with Damien. When I was given an 800 number to call customer service it was 800-821-2926.

Caller said had order to disconnect and gave reference # and this number to call.  The number he gave has the SCE greeting - we have several accounts and meters - after some initial run around they expressed were going to shut off due to lack of payment.  What ?!   When he gave Instructions  to make immediate payment to prevent the disconnect, the red flag fully illuminated - and i responded  "well that ain't going to happen- goodbye"   Immediately contacted SCE.
