This number is from a company called Progressive Asset Management (PAMS inc.)
They are a collection agency. http://www.pamsinc.net

Phone calls from 1-805-823-8181 ask you to call this number.  (I never have.)

The message reads:-
"Hello this is Pam with PAM incorporated. This is an imported call $ is not a sale or tele-marketing. Please dial 0 for a representative or return my call today at 800-821-8063, option 1 and get file number 7   5   6   3   4   9   2

PAMS INC has been calling my house for months.  They leave the number 800-821=8063, and a file number.  I see from above they are a collection agency, but I don't owe anyone any money.  I'm quite sure they are calling about a relative, but I don't want to have to deal with them at all

I answered the phone and got the same message.  The Caller ID said "Unknown name" and the number came up as 805-823-8181.

I received a voicemail message this afternoon in Los Angeles from caller ID # 805-823-8181 (no company name listed on ID) for my young son (age 13) asking for him by his first name and stating "It is urgent that you return my call", giving a 7-digit file number to reference and telling him to call back immediately to 800-821-8063 x 438. I did not return the call.

PAMS INC has been calling my house for months.  They leave the number 800-821=8063, and a file number.  I see they are a collection agency, but I don't owe anyone any money.  I want the calls to stop.

They are calling my cell, they leave no message. I have placed my cell number on the National Do Not Call Registry which they are bypassing.

Pam calls to call back , this is not a telemarketing sales call

Same here.  I am debt free.  Shouldn't be getting calls from PAMS or any other collection agency.

I saw another post for this number on a different website.  When you call the telephone number back, you are advised that you will be charged an outrageous amount for the call:

"I received a call on my cell phone from 805 823 8181 on 9/13 at 4:49pm, and told me to call 800 821 8026 about an important, non-sales marketing call.  I did, and the message on that line said to call 101515800, and said that it was $5.99/min! I called Verizon, and they said to report it on the fdc.gov website."

HOpe this helps.  Don't call it back, but I would concur to report it on the fdc.gov website.
