- Jim Brooks replies to Matthew| 3 repliesThis is really a legit number, they operate 24 hours a day. So if you got a call at an odd hour that would explain it. google just the number and you will get a page option of http://www.corp.att.com/business_billing/fd_fraud2.html
But it is definitely legit. - Fabio replies to Jim Brooks| 2 repliesno, it's not a legit number. it's a scam. businesses don't contact businesses or individuals in the middle of the night. The dead give away is the mumbling, bumbling VM with no name.

- At Work replies to Fabio| 1 replyIt is NOT a scam. It IS the AT&T Fraud Line. I don't know about individuals but they most certainly DO contact businesses in the middle of the night to alert them of possible hacker activity. I work at a 24/7 facility and just received a call from them a bit ago and I admit that I thought at 4am that it had to be a scam but I did my due diligence in checking the validity of the phone number (which is listed right on AT&T's site)
- TheRealSeriously® replies to At WorkWhich means NOTHING as legit numbers do get SPOOFED. According to you, if this number called me, it would be legit. Guess what? No it wouldn't because I'm not WITH AT&T. Not everyone is with them, therefore your logic is flawed
- ERSThis number is legit and is from AT&T Fraud Management. At the time of me posting this response, you can validate that this is really an AT&T number by seeing this page on their site: https://www.att.com/att/fraud/en/. It is under the "PBX/VM/CPE Fraud" tab on the left.

- MikeHuntleton replies to RandyBeing able to read other posts and click a link that verifies the number as valid, doesn't mean a person is in that field.
- MikeThey called and said they were AT&T fraud and wanted me to fax my social security card to them. They said my account would be suspended if I didn’t. And they needed to verify I am who I say I am. I called AT&T support and asked if they saw anything on their end or if I needed to do that and they said absolutely not and it is a scam.
- Caller: AT&T global fraud(or so they say)
