- Mr. DickThis time the [***] did not leave a message. A few days a real [***] of a woman yelled my name and that they had some type of faxed form needing to be approved. These people must be stupid themselves. Especially if they think people is going to fall for scare tactics, especially stupid ass yelling.
- Caller: they never said
- Julia| 1 replyCaller said they were the IRS and they were going to seize all property, bank accounts, and financial accounts. I was going to be arrested. A warrant was issued for my arrest and the police would be knocking at my door within the next thirty minutes. He read my charges. Count 1) Violation of Federal Tax Regulations. Count 2) Willfull miss representation of information to the government. Count 3) Deception. He wanted me to pay $1289.82 or go to jail. When I explain that would wait for the police and fight it in court he gave up. He kept trying to convince me to pay. I insisted on waiting for the police.

- John| 1 replyI received a similar call just a bit ago that was identical to the call Julia had. My guy was so bad that he didn't even attempt to ask me for a payment! All he kept saying was that I was going to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and if I tried to fight them I would lose and have liens put against my bank accounts, car and house. I knew this was a prank call as the IRS would never send notices to me via e-mail like the caller had suggested but he would never get to the point of asking me if I wanted to make payment arrangements to clear things up. He kept on asking me if I would fight the claim or if I was in agreement with his findings to which I replied "how can I fight something or get a criminal lawyer if I have no idea what I'm having to fight against?". Eventually after going round and round with the gentlemen he just disconnected the call. Still waiting for law enforcement to show up to arrest me, LOL!

- Danny replies to JohnI got a call from same number twice today. I knew from the beginning it was a scam because operator had heavy accent but his name was 'Sean Anderson' and there was foreign language in his background. I told him I knew he was calling from India and asked for call back number but would not give it to me. So I hung up. Another call came about 10 minutes ago and this time the accent was even worse. I told him again 'I know you are calling from India!' and he replied 'No, we are calling from Pakistan' lol
Do not respond to this number - Craig SHe said he was from the IRS. I said send me a letter and I will reply. He immediately hung up.

I’m an Enrolled Agent with the IRS (Inactive). IRS does not initiate contacts by phone. US mail only. IRS does not file lawsuits. IRS has enough administrative authority under the IRS Code and related regulations to collect all taxes lawfully due the federal government. Court action, if any is handled by the DOJ and all parties are entitled to legal assistance if it is a criminal matter. But--tax disputes are for the most part civil matters. 90% of all IRS tax disputes are settled administratively. IRS has absolutely no authority to call on local law enforcement for anything. Local law is never involved in IRS tax disputes. IRS does not threaten to involve local law enforcement or to arrest you for nonpayment of federal taxes. IRS has no powers of arrest as related to ordinary tax disputes. Having a deficiency in taxes owed by way of audit is NOT a crime. IRS does not cold call anyone and demand immediate payment of money. IRS does not ask for financial information over the phone. IRS does not accept Green card money paks for payment in any case. No one is prosecuted for ordinary tax disputes. IRS has absolutely no authority over anyone's professional license. Professional licensing is handled by state governments. Yes, levies on property to satisfy an existing tax obligation do occur, but only after a very long period of negotiation. And yes, liens are placed on individuals but usually after a lot of negotiation and a failure to reach a settlement. All determinations of tax liability are subject to appeals. All contacts by the IRS are initiated by US mail. - edyep, we got the same call just now. my husband called him a POS and a few other names and he also said your accent gives you away. don't fall for this bull crap lie from a middle eastern piece of crap,
