I checked here the other day about a card I got in the mail, and there was no info, so I will tell you what I found:

Got a card in the mail telling me to call a number to claim a gift...with a product preview. I called. The girl on the phone told me I could have a choice of a 2 night hotel stay or a voucher for $100 of free gas. I chose the gas. Then she informed me that my wife and I had to watch a demo on an air filter and cleaner to recieve the free gas.
The salesman, Sean,  was 15 min late, but apologetic saying he was way out of town. He spent about 45 minutes in our home trying to sell his products. They were too expensive for us, although the cleaner was amazing!!! He pitched us on referring some friends to him, and he would give us an expensive pot set as a thank you. We didn't do that either.

Interesting company...harmful to your bank acount if you have money. They were harmless to us. you can't get blood from a stone.

I was searching for a job online, when I stumbled upon this familiar phone number.  A little bit of checking led me to find that this is the number for a company called, Healthtek Inc., which is a division of Filter Queen.  I think we all recall who Filter Queen is!  This number seems to be based in Coquitlam, BC.  This particular office is owned by Darryn & Kelly Murphy.  I also found an e-mail address for this couple:
    kmurphy@healthtek.ca
Needless to say, I didn't call for this job!!  Hope this helps!

This company is the epitome of annoying, they simply will not take NO for an answer, I finally just shouted "I can't believe this" into the phone and hung up, I have the sales persons phone number ID and I am going to set up an automated fax telling them "thank you" to be sent every 2 minutes indefinitely.

I know somebody that applied for this so-called job peddling overpriced vacuum cleaners door2door, but they were only hiring people that had a prison record. Go figure!

Call Received while I was absent from the home.  Caller (or Machine) called twice, the second time hanging up just as the voice recording finished its greeting. No Voicemail message left. Even IF I was in need of a replacement vaccuum cleaner, I would not bother  with an "In Home" demonstration.

So, this number gets added to the blocked number list, and , since they called twice in a row, to a DNCL subscriber, then a report to the CRTC as well.

[Even if I  'won' a free gift, I would not accept it, as the 'gift' has to be paid from somebody, somewhere, and it probably is not from the owners benelovent gift fund. It is a 'cost-of-business' expense for them, and that all gets added to the final price.]
