I received several calls from this number and get an automated message to call about a problem with a Visa credit card. I have no major credit card. I called this number telling them they have the wrong person and to remove my phone number from their list. They keep calling, leaving automated messages, and will not stop. I asked them again to quit calling me. The individuals never identify themselves but insisted I give them information, which I refused to do. I think they are scammers and will report them to the FCC and Attorney General.

I got a call about htat too saying it was regarding my Mastercard, which I do have.
My bank had no idea what I was talking about.
I did not give them any info and I suggest you dont either...

Just recieved a voicemail from this number with an automated message claiming to be from my bank's card verification service wanting to confirm a recent credit card transaction. I just called my bank to have them verify the number and they confirmed it was NOT one of their numbers or services and to NOT give them any information.

I have received two calls from this number today with automated message saying they are calling on behalf of my Credit Card company(and they have the name of my bank!) and need me to call to verify some transactions.  I will not be calling them, but I will be reporting to the FCC as my bank has no idea who these people are.

I got one of these calls also. What I don't understand is why it takes so long to shut down these (or any other) scammers. Even without resorting to FCC it should be very easy to tell which phone company currently provides service to the rogue users and that phone company could quickly verify that it is /or is not a legitimate business and if necessary disconnect the lines - (Unless of course the phone company only cares about getting the monthly fees for the phone lines leased to these rogue businesses)

Phone number is legit. It is first merit asking to verify credit card transaction. It is a yes or no question with no personal information or SS# given out besides name and a yes or no!

I take that back. The call received directly after this phone call was legit. It was from first merit. Sorry for the confusion. This number may be a scam still.

We received a call from this number claiming that a transaction in our account had triggered an alert.  I looked the number up on here, decided to report it to my bank.  I called my bank (not this number) and they told me that an attempted internet transaction had not gone through and that the this number was the company they use for card security (their 'troubleshooter' unit).  So apparently the number is valid, and it is for credit AND debit cards.  In my case, a "one-month free trial" that the company tries to renew automatically, even though we've indicated to the bank that we won't allow any charges to that website.  For some of you, it might be from somebody trying to use a card number stolen over the internet with the wrong name (yours) given with the number, or they give your debit card as a credit card or vv, etc.  Even so, don't give info to this number, call your bank (using the phone number off  your statement, or if you still have a phone book, use it.  If it's really yours, your bank will have this place's notes in their files.  Some of you might have to call more than one bank.  Not me :)  [I didn't get a company name, and the call type would be Legitimate (none of the other options apply, so I left it at Unknown)]
