Said the were Horizon Power & Light.  They acted as if we had done business together before, but our electricity provider is National Grid.  Not sure what to make of it.

What to make of it is, they're trying to get you to switch power companies.   This is the electric utility equivalent of "I'd like to save you money on your long distance"

They left me the same kind of message.  heck with them.

All reps that I spoke with at this company were shifty.  When asked the company they were calling from I was told AGR Group, Energy Services Professionals and Horizon Power.  Further, they would not disclose address information where they were based other than "southern California."  

Additionally, they attempt to get you to answer "yes" and "no" questions as well as repeat your full name and company for whom you work meanwhile you can hear the beeps of recording devices activating.  

Considering the above, they seem like a bottom feeding telemarketing group rather than a company interested in providing a potentially legitimate service.  The representative who called me attempting to sling around a few industry buzz words but held no understanding of the markets for which he was calling.

Be very careful what you disclose with this company!

this place is a scam. they scam random people and they're employees. as a former employee they shorted me on my pay check everyweek. they hire anybody off the street. they have junkies, people smoke weed on the property. they evan have minors working there. so you might get a crackhead or a 15 year old try to sell u gas.

I too got a message from "Volunteer Energy Services".  Antonio Hayward left a message that he wanted to talk to me about our "Gas Account".  Thank you all for posting here, I will not even bother to call them back and tell them not to call again.

Called our office.  Asked for the owner.  I assumed it was a Telemarketer and offered to take a message.  I spoke with a Scott (extension 1366).  He left a number and his extension.  Something about People's Gas. It was very noisy in the background.  Pretty sure this is a telemarketer.

Asked me ish about my bill, didnt know my name, asked them if how come they dont, said we dont have that billing information. so i was like, let me get someone who can help you. waited about 5 seconds, then i hung up. odd, it was only just a couple minutes ago that i was solicited by a different number.

and it was very noisy in the background lol.
