A call received and a message left, about the "gas account." No mention of my name or the account number. I don't have a gas account.

Received a call from Hector at MX/Amex? Energy about my electric account.  That's not our electric provider.

I received a call from a Willy at MX enegry about my electric account-That isn't my electric provider did not leave a account number.  Did not call back the number was 800-836-6961 x-3359 they also did have my name. Kind of odd I thought.

Received a message from Jonathan Lopez at MX/Amex (unclear what he said)Energy about our "electric account."  Never head of this provider! Left the call-back number of 800-836-6961 x5586, but caller ID number was 1-602-516-1062

I got a phone call from MX Energy, they left a message. We do not have an account with these people and it is the first time we hear from them. The caller ID shown the number 602-516-1062. The genius who left the message gave the wrong 1-800 number asking to call her back and in addition, we are in a do not call list.

I got phome call in my office from ext 5580 from Jaime Marrano. Had to listen this message 5 times to understand his accent. It was somehting about Natural Gas Account (We have none (neither personal or busines)...

Called them back. It was a sales call. Really lousy job...

Calling again. And saying that are calling in regards of gas account...

I just got a call on my voicemail at work about a gas account, we don't have an account with them, the name of the person who called was Gia Estes ext. 5580.

Same as many of the others I read here. Calling about gas account and MUST get a call back.
I don't even have Gas service!

Just received the same call from Jose at MX Energy so I googled the # and found this site.  I don't have natural gas.  I live in an apartment building that doesn't use gas and the landlord pays the heat.  Go figure!

Wayne Chancey called (from: 602-516-1062) and asked for someone in accounts payable/billing. Nobody was available so I took a message. It was about a MX Energy (natural gas) account. We had propane at 1 time, but not natural gas. The return number he gave me was 1-800-836-6961 x5581. We are a business in Ohio, and we are on the "do not call list".

Caller left same message as those in the other post.  Mad eyou believe it was imperative to call back Gary GRegory at MX Energy 1-800-836-6961 ext 1132.  Did not call back. As every one else said..difficult to understand.

got the same call - from maureen walker 800-836-6961 x3364 MX Energy re: my gass account - i have no gass account - i gotten this call before - clearly understood her message - different caller id - 12:51 EST - when I called them, i waited mindlessly on hold for a few minutes, listening to some brief recorded message over and over about some booming stock or plummeting something or other...just hung up - wonder what would have happened if i had picked up initially...

Had a phone message at work from Darnell from MX Energy calling about our gas account. And too call back at 1-800-836- 6961. Like everyone else they aren't our provider. Thank God I had the sense too look them up on the internet and found this site.

Received a call on 2/26/08. Got a sales pitch from a woman who said she was calling from Spark Energy. She said their company could save me money on my natural gas bill. I was suspicious and for kicks I asked her questions which she couldn't answer and she handed the phone to a guy. He said he works with Spark Energy and he needed information from me to see if we qualified to get on a special program to get our natural gas prices reduced through PG&E. I He asked for my PG&E account information and I told him I didn't have it available, He then said he'd get a PG E representative on the phone and we could have a conference call and she could guide us through the process. The first question she asked was
"What is your social security number?"
CLICK! I hung up on them immediately.

This is most definitely a scam.

Pitiful people. Hope they get caught soon and stop this nonsense.

Received a call from "Tami Drainer" from MX Energy, phone number 800 836-6961. I put her on hold and googled. Let her know that there were 146 hits for "MX Energy ScaM" and she got very flustered.

Recieved a call from a Serina Corara regarding my natural gas account. We are a business so I called back to let them know that are calling the wrong number due to we don't have a gas account at all. They asked what ext. number was left on my message which was x2247. Then they said, oh we are calling on your CT Lighting Account because they have partner with them to save us money on our bill. They did not give much explanation or did they know whether it was a residential acct. or commericial. They actual had me talk to a manager to try to get me to give them information, but I just say I will stay with what I have and hung up. It is definitely a scam!

800-836-6961 ext 5583 some energy company. don't have an account with them. might be a scam. how they got my number??? who knows.
