I got a call at 4:07 a.m. on my cell phone from this number - I picked up and they hung up.  Well, sice I couldn't get back to sleep I called the number back and it said something to the effect of US Direct someone wil be with you shortly and was put on hold - I hung up.  I tried calling it when I got into work this morning and there's nothing happening when I dial the number.  Can we say too strange?  Maybe they were calling the CA office which was forwarded to my cell and therefore it was 2:07 a.m. there.  Why would they call at those late hours?  Trying to call again and it was picked up - am on hold right now - Yep on perpetual hold.  Bet they called teh CA office at 2AM!!!

Thanks for letting me know, guys.  I usually don't like to answer unknown numbers, but they been calling me for a week now...these critters just do not give up!  Next time I'll just pick up and put a dog on a phone or something.

Business telephone numbers cannot be placed on "Do Not Call". You must contact the telemarketer directly and request that they add you to their list.

I am getting repeated calls from US Directory and have asked repeatedly to be taken off their list. I have gotten as many as three calls in a 30 min period.

This phillapine b*****calls me constantly.......tells me she is "overseeing" my advertising investments????? can't tell me the business i do or how she got my number? She talked over me and was the rudest person i have ever spoked with. She kept demanding "this is what you need to do" and "your buisiness needs our assistance for the success of your company??? WTF!!!! She couldn't tell me her name or what company she works for?? Ony kept repeating she was in partnership with US Directories< which is just a white/yellow page search engine...She asked for my email and credit card information!!!!!! THIS IS A SCAM!!!!!!!! THESE PEOPLE ARE PROBLY SITTING IN A SHACK IN THE PHILLAPINES WITH A TRACKPHONE TRYING TO SCAM PEOPLE IN ANY WAY POSSIBLE............................LET'S GET THE WORD OUT TO OTHERS............1-800-842-1499 IS A SCAM!!!

US Directory's corporate office is in Boca Raton, FL.  Our company has been harassed by them also, and I strongly recommend anyone dealing with this to read our post and take appropriate action.  US Directories is a company of Direct Billing, apparently along with Xacti LLC. US Directories representatives have called us repeatedly INSISTING to speak with the owner of our company. We have been being harassed by US Directories for months now. When an owner is not available, US Directories rep hangs up only to call back the next hour, or next day, or next month, or all of the above. I have repeatedly called the 800 or 888 number back when a rep hangs up in order to get our name taken off their calling list. US Directories has MULTIPLE numbers they call from, today it was 888-880-8518. We have called numerous times to be taken off their calling list, but still receive harassing calls.  Today, we called (561) 989-7400 which is the number listed for US Directories on the Better Business Bureau. The receptionist answered with "Xacti" being the name of the company. I requested to speak to the owner (as they do with companies they contact) and was of course refused. I was told the name of the highest person I could write was Mr. Oesterlund, but all calls went through his secretary, Ms. Wyler. I was placed on hold for Ms. Wyler, and stayed on hold for about 10 minutes or longer. I called back and explained to the receptionist (again answered with "Xacti") that no one had answered. She then told me Ms. Wyler was on a conference call, and transferred me to Mr. Martinez X122. Mr. Martinez informed me he was a supervisor who took calls of an escalated nature.  Our advise regarding this company is to notify the BBB in Boca Raton and file a complaint, call your local police department regarding the harassing phone calls, and call their corporate office above to make a complaint about their practices.  The BBB has received 78 complaints in 3 years regarding this company, but that's ONLY the people who take the time to complain and know the main company info.

told them my wife works for one of the airlines and I fly for free. Could be there in an hour and a half. Would she like to meet me? Nah, didn't think so.........no further calls since. Oh, did email a picture of their parking lot from google. heh heh.....

I had just listed my company on a few lagit directories, so when I got this phone call I thought it was one of them following up, it was hard to understand with their thick accents, he said he needed to verify some info and launched right into questions, "is this the name of your site, your phone number" etc. He had all my info (I was just saying yes) so I continued with the call. THEN I felt the convo switch into a sell "well ma'am I just want to let you know that your site will be listed on millions of great directories, blah blah blah" get to the end of his 2 minute speech and wouldn't you know it, it's only going to cost me $5 a month & I can cancel at any time. Well I'm not an idiot so I ask for a # to call him back. He gets nervous & pushes the sell harder "well you can call me back but this great $5 special will no longer be available" I potlitly explain I will have to think about it and hang up. I swear not 30 seconds later I get another call from them but this time its a woman & she starts in WITH THE EXACT SAME SCRIPT, it was almost comical.

They just called me and gave me a spiel about being a verizon customer, and listing my # and Company on the yellow pages.  The woman I spoke with could hardly speak english, and after I declined their offer to list me on all of the search engines for %.00 per month, I was told they would block my company from the internet. Who should I contact about these dirtbags.

THATS IMPOSIBLE CUZ THATS THE NUMBER OF MY CUSTUMER SERVICES FROM MY PUBLICITY ONLINE AND THEY DONT CALL ANY ONE, THEY HAVE ANOTHER NUMBER FOR OUTBOUND CALLS... SO THATS A LIAR!

THEY STOP CALLING WHEN I ASK FOR THE DNC LIST, THEY ARE SO KIND, IF YOURE NO T INTERESTED JUST TELL THEM TO STOP CALLING AND THEY RESPOND PROMTLY AND POLITE...

I spoke to a very nice man named Michael Davis who was trying to get me to pay $5 a month to have my information listed with USdirectory.com, telling me that it will also bring my company name up in top search results on google, yahoo, etc. I told him I needed to check it out on my own first. He sounded a little disappointed and tried to prove to me that he was legitimate while on the phone and searching the internet at the same time, but I really didn't want to be rushed. I asked him if he worked on commission and he sheepishly admitted that he did, with a little laugh, which is why he wanted me to sign up with him instead of doing it online. I've checked it out, it all seems legitimate, it sounds good for my business, I'm going to call him back and give him the commission as the deal includes no cancellation fees, so i figure why not give it a shot :)

I have been getting calls from them also. The one time I did pick up a lady gave me all this info about my business. Then she asked me for my credit card number, so I could pay a monthly five dollar fee to have my information be put on yellow pages and Google. I told her I was not comfortable with doing that, Which she assured me it was safe. I still did not give her my card number and said I needed to do more research on the "US Directory" to see if it was legit. After back and forth of why I should do it she finally gave up and agreed. Then 2 minutes later I get a phone call from them again.

They want to update your listing...and add your charge card to their list of people they've already scammed.  Website is usdirectory.com according to the foreign-accented person who called.  Looks like yellow pages but don't fall for it.
