I received this e-mail from my student.  I called the number for verification, but too received an automated message stating that I'm calling from outside the area. There's no such thing as "free money".  Let's not perpetuate the hoax.  Rather, inform the person who sent it to you that it's a hoax.

Unlike the rest of you I did not have the privilege of looking at that email.NOT that I would want to. My rule on email from ones I know is,if it has more then 2 FW's in the subject it's DELETED.Too many bugs going around and it's not going to go away with emails like that.My brother sent an email to me asking what's up with it so I started tracking the number down and found this place. Your right TundraGal, start informing others of the hoax and remember if it sounds or looks to good then there's a very high chance that it is.Do your homework not scams or hoax.Good Luck to all.

This email is still going around. With 100's of email addresses in it. Sure fire way to get spammed! So, friends and family... don't send these types of things.

Got a chat message on Facebook ffrom someone I don't know personally for a free money Microsoft scam........Be aware and don't forward it if you receive the message!!  This same scam was going  around in 2008!!

Got a chat message on Facebook regarding the Microsoft free money scam.

Calling the number, you have to give your credit card info for 65$ per person for a damn cruise.  Its a hoax and DONT DO IT.

Received Facebook message. Did a search on the phone no. Found it's a scam as I thought.

This old farce is still hanging around? I can't believe the stuff some people think is true. Come on, people. Bill Gates and/or Microsoft is NOT going to write you a check for forwarding an email. Remember the immortal words of P.T. Barnum, "There is a sucker born every minute."
The only thing calling either of the 800 #s provided in the scam email is this: They aren't going to answer your call. They aren't going to return your call even if you are able to leave a message. What they ARE going to do is capture your phone # via caller ID then either they are going to call you & try to scam you out of a whole bunch of money or they'll sell your number to another criminal who will.
I just shake my head at the idea people actually believe this stuff. If you believe this, contact me. I have some oceanfront property in Kansas I'd be happy to sell you...cheap. Come on, people. Really??

What good does it do to put anything on here or any other complaint sights?  When you keep getting these calls no matter what you do or who you call, Sheriff's office,  FCC, WASHINGTON D.C. DON'T CALL LIST. All of it should be some how dealt with!  Especially leave the elderly Alone!  Now lets get something done in a real class action suit for real against the real perpetrators!  REAL MONEY!

I received a message thru messenger saying that if I forward this message I earn 243.00 per message sent.. yaaaa right! Really! You really think I’m going to believe this Dumm story..

I can't believe people don't check their sources! This is a hoax!

I can't believe people don't look at the date of the post under the screen name.  I can't believe that people reply to really old posts, in this case 12 years old, and expect those people to stop back to see their replies.

"Sam" only said 'Good luck', so why would anyone check the source out for a comment?
