Just got a call from this number on my cell phone

United Health Care - Calling to let you about health services that are part of your insurance services and benefits.

Got a call today from this number claiming to be SOCIAL SECURITY and they made an error that made me doubt it was social security.  I called the number back and the person that answered said she is a nurse with United Health Care.  I went off on her demanding to speak to her superior, and of corse her computer was malfuctioning and she could not transfer the call.  These people at UHC have NO IDEA what a nurse actually does in real life!  These people are fishing for information that is none of thier business and clearly miss- representing themselves.  These are hackers, my friends.  Just block them.  If UHC can not fix this, switch to a better medical plan.  Better safe then sorry.

Scammers spoof legitimate numbers all the time and try tricking people into giving personal info to pull Health Insurance scams, Prescription scams  or Payment scams.

If your a UHC fraud victim,you can report the fraud to them.

Never trust a caller to be who they claim, always call from an official number to verify if they did.

Received an unsolicited call from this number. They claimed to be from United Healthcare and to have information about a service or program that is available to me at no additional cost. The number doesn't match any of UHC's lines that I've seen, so I suspect this is a phishing scam.

It actually is UHC and not a scam.   If you have their health insurance, a registered nurse may be calling to follow up with you regarding your RX, condition, etc..    The number is a special line for the nurse.   The recording is misleading.

It is the United Healthcare nurses line as stated above. I happen to get a letter from UHC today with this number on it to call the nurse line if needed.

As many as three calls in a single day. One English speaking operator forgot to disconnect and I could hear her talking to a baby(?) in her native tongue (no clue what language - wasn't Spanish or French). The call lasted 3 minutes before VM cut her off. I thought I'd play the message to Google to translate.

If this is UHC, very unprofessional. Send me email or mail if you want to get my attention.

"The registered nurse" called from a different number than 800-842-3225. Its a local number and its one digit off from a number I call 8 to 10 times a day. I listened to the voice mail, and it just "feels" wrong.

Not true.  According to UHC, whom I just chatted with on their official site, this is the  number 1-866-270-5311 option nurseline.

They call fairly regularly stating they are from United Healthcare and want to talk to me about benefits that are available to me.  Not sure why they would call considering I went to hospital last October and haven't payed my employer sponsored insurance in over 6 months so have no insurance with them anymore.  Personally I think they are simply trying to get me signed up with UHC even though I have been 9out of work since last Oct due to a workplace injury (workmen's comp claim that UHC has nothing to do with) and then was put in hospice due to liver, kidney and pancreas problems that again UHC had nothing to do with.
