    Dont Scam Me
Received call from Mr. Brannon claiming to be from Wells Fargo Credit Services.  Either a sales call or a scam since I have no relationship with WFCS.  I returned his call.  Tried to find out what he wants.  He was very secretive.  He wouldn't tell me what the call was regarding without first asking me personal questions, but did give his extension as 8472.  I didn't bother to call back to find out whether or not he was lying about the extension.  I hate these scumbags.

I have been getting calls from this number claiming to be Wells Fargo. Except they continue to ask for a Christopher Allen. I have repeatedly informed the ignorant [***] I have no idea who this person is! I have even been receiving calls from Wells Fargo's attorney and I also told him he was an ass!

I have resorted to keeping a log as I am in the process of contacting an attorney to begin harrassment charges. The calls have been going on now for over 3 months, and its going to stop. If you doubt me, try me! And yes, you are SCUMBAGS!!!

Oh and Kitty, yes we call out of Iowa and Oregon, sometimes those numbers come up and sometimes an 800# comes up. WF does try to call from different #s sporadically so we can get people to answer that are not paying there bill. Welcome to collections!

THE PERSON NAMED ALFALFA - (Above)- The FDCPA only applies to secondary collections and not the originator of the debt. My advice, stick to something you know. Giving advice like this is the job of an attorney. You could get someone into trouble and get sued for counseling on a legal matter without having a license to practice law. Just a friendly note as you never know who will sue.

Wells Fargo is the caller. I talked to a person directly and this is the credit card collections department.

THIS PERSON HAS NO CLUE WHAT THEY ARE DOING. SEE BELOW. SEE ABOVE.

Just spoke with Wells Fargo customer service via the 800 number posted on their website.  They verified that this in a Wells Fargo number and connected me.  Upon connection, I was asked if I knew various people all of which I did not.  Supposedly my number was listed for these other people.  They cleared my number and calls should now stop.  It definetly is a collection agency but I was not harrassed in any way as they had no "beef" with me.

If you have no association with Wells Fargo, did you ever think that they might have the wrong number. If you get another call answer and find out who they are asking for. It takes about 3 minutes to find the answer. Dont let your bias ideas get in the way of finding a solution.

You sound sophisticated. Could you not think of anything more mature to say. I wasnt referencing that it takes 3 minutes to say wrong number. I said it takes "about" that long to find a solution. There is a difference.

Wells Fargo Claims that they are calling people to "assist them with paying off current debt owned to them".  Truth is, they are but only if you are willing to forgo your mortgage and food on the table to pay their $150 payments.  I have offered to pay $50 a month which is all I can afford do to lack of a job.  I get phone calls daily from them and nothing ever changes.  They even offer you to speak with a "manager" which can not help either. Here are the numbers that they call from:
    515-221-6391
    503-403-2665
    515-221-6303
    515-403-2686
    877-244-4203
    515-327-3019
    503-403-2670
    515-327-3702
    800-842-3603

Depending on how delinquent your bill is depends on what state Wells Fargo calls you from.

    Good Luck dealing with them!

    i got a call too.
nobody doing legit business tries to pump you for personal information.
emily you sound like a very young person. have you ever been mistaken for someone else and had these bottom feeders harass you?
and even if they had the right person, there are laws. there are law regarding when they can call, about identifying themselves, stating the nature of the call, and if you say to not call me again, they must abide by it.
i can personally attest that wells fargo -- yes, wells fargo -- has complete utter disregard for the law and i have phone logs to prove it. they use very young people who merely dial the phone in fact, a lot of people who answer it usually hear "click" as they hang up because they don't know what to say, how to handle it. wells fargo is among the banks running predatory lending scams and also took a sizable amount of our tax bail out money.
so before you, emily, or anyone else lectures and uses ancient aphorisms, you need to live a little in the real world. the number i list is not the only one wells fargo uses. I do not know why they are calling me, but this number showed up also on a friends and it was wells fargo hammering them over "credit card debt" not owed. It quite seems they make a lot of mistakes.

it's wells and yes they are human garbage.  they'd be out of biz too without their gov't bail out.

the callers are not very intelligent in that their grammer is poor and their "english" is hard to understand and comprehend.

....but then again, you can't get blood from a turnip.

Got a call from this number. Asked for some guy named Elmer. I told him he had the wrong number, and he got flip. (He had the wrong number.) Asked for a new number for the Such-and-Such residence. I reminded him that he had the wrong number, and I didn't know who he was talking about. He asked my name. I asked his. He said, "Dan from Wells Fargo, now what's your name?" I told him it was none of his business. He said I could tell him, or he would keep calling until I got tired of being harassed, and give in. I hung up on the prick. Probably a collection agency. WFCS can [***] for either not training their staff better, or not being more judicious in the collection agencies they select. Dan, you're a [***] with fat fingers; have your computer dial next time.
