This is a legitimate number for Overstock.com. I have made calls to this number for assistance with an item I had ordered that had a manufacturer's defect. I have also received calls from Overstock.com customer representatives.

Shill alert! You already know who called you so logically you have no reason to look up this phone number.
Besides, just because it's a legitimate number you can make calls to doesn't mean calls from it are legitimate. Or have you somehow never heard of phone number spoofing?

Called ID said overstock.com however the caller said they were from Bed, Bath and Beyond. assuming it's a scammer calling about items I was supposedly returning (I was not)

I believe Bed Bath and Beyond has filed for bankruptcy.  Bed Bath and Beyond's Customer Service number is one digit off from this 2446.  This is not even close to overstock.com's Customer Service Number.
