- Brassy| 1 replyKeeps calling, answered, asked for husband, can I take a message, they said no and will call back. Have a feeling who it is but not sure. Now they keep calling this morning. Did they ever think he might be at work.
- Caller: 800-service
- Jim D| 3 repliesThis is the collection/late payment line for US Bank. Just got off the phone with them about a late payment
- Caller: US Bank
- Call type: Debt collector
- Anon| 1 replyCalled four times today while i was working. Left no message so I called thinking I'd get a " thanks for calling so and so", but it just says "card member services" and goes to a person. I asked who was calling me and she asks, "what is the number you are getting the call on... what is your name... middle initial... address with city and zip..." to which i finally stopped offering info and said "but you wont tell me who this for?" She said "we deal with a lot of different cards so if you give me that info and the last four of your social i can pull it up for you".
EXCUSE ME???? Thats TMI and makes me think this is a scam...
I said "no thanks, ill wait until they call back."
If it is US Bank, my cards are with debt consolidation so i shouldn't be getting calls for debt collection. I would not give them any info, sounds fishy. - JoeMama"Card Member Services" calling (could they have a more bland, generic name?) with robocaller saying a representative will be on the line shortly, please continue to hold. I decided to mess with them a bit so continued to hold, but after a few repeats of the "A representative will be with you shortly" recording I got tired of them wasting my time and hung up.
I highly suspect this is a scam designed to get personal information out of people. The use of a generic "card member services" name is probably designed to reach anyone who has a credit card.- Caller: Card Member Services
- JoeMama replies to Jim DNo it's not, it's likely a scammer.
- PamThis number is repeatedly calling my cell phone. Does not leave messages and only identifies themselves as "Card Member Services." When I called the number from a lan, I was put on hold for several minutes, when an operator finally answered they said "thank you for calling card member services can I please get your account number." I said account number for what, who are you and what company do you represent? They said they "service many accounts" so I asked again who they were and why they were calling. Again, they said what is your account number and phone number so I told them if they could not identify who they were calling with they weren't getting a damn thing so they said 'thank you' and hung up. - ShelbyCall at random times and leave no message.
- AnonymousThey called and I didn't answer, then an hour and a half later they called again so I decided to answer and they asked for me and it sounded fishy so I told them they had the wrong number. I'm not stupid. Scam is written all over it.
- AnonymousSomeone with an Indian accent said they wanted to reduce my credit card rates. they would not identifiy themselves when I asked repeatedly. Finally I told them I believed they were a scam and not to call me again. Believe it or not, they called back. I didn't answer the phone, but they left most disgusting, vulgar message that I have ever heard from anyone. I could not believe another person would speak to someone that way. I wish there was someone I could report them to, but they are most likely out of the country.
- Caller: said they were visa and mastercard
- Lisa replies to BrassyIt's fraud ignore it they try to steal your identity
- Lisa replies to Jim DIt's a spam. Don't believe them. Fraudulent
- MLG replies to Jim DIt's likely a scammer. I have a credit card through US Bank & this number calls me ALL the time about a "late payment". Only thing is I'm on auto pay with them. So there is NO chance of me ever having a late payment. Jokes on them I guess.
- Anon replies to AnonSame thing when I called them back from a landline.
- JWWLAWSeems like a scam to me. Returned the call to the above number. Gave me another and that person would not prove to me who I was calling. If "Card Member Services" is a real company name, that is either stupid, or a scam.
- Caller: Card Member Services
