- mama| 1 replythis is a collections bill pay
- shabby replies to mamaIt's not a collection agency, it's the customer support number to Bill Pay which is the system used to set up paying your bills through your bank account.
- fed up with PNC| 1 replyRepeated phone calls. I call back and finally get a person. I ask who they are and what is the nature of their business. They explain very nicely who they are and what they do. I appreciate their time. THEN (later on that same day) I get a phone call from them and this time a person is on the other end of the line. They talk about an online bill pay that I owe them........ this is the company that facilitates the online billing for a lot of banks. Well, PNC recently took over RBC in NC and when they did, totally screwed up online bill pay. Double billed/paid etc and it has taken a while to get the money back but we are finally straight. These folks are telling me that we owe them the money???? Our account paid out to the cell phone company, the cell phone company returned our money and they want money? I am sure that they think they are a legitimate company, but they sound mighty scam-like to me.

- Annoyed| 1 replyInappropriate means of attempting to collect. They didn't know my current address, wanted me to do the work for them, acted put out that I was annoyed that they didn't know who I was but were adamant that I owed them something related to bill pay yet they say that the associated credit union won't tell them anything??? This is the person that is supposedly working with my credit union? Seemed inappropriate and like a scam to get personal information

- FrannyI got this call on my cell phone (which number I do NOT give out). When I answered, it was a computer voice asking me to hold. It used my real name and said it was from my bill pay provider. I called my bank, and they assured me it wasn't them. I actually held once, but after 15 minutes, I hung up. They keep calling, though, sometimes twice a day. Very annoying!

- Bob replies to James| 1 replyThey keep calling me everyday and they told me they handle bill pay for 90 banks. I asked them which bill are they referring to and they kept asking me about my bank and account details. At this point I hung up. I called up my bank and they said that they do not have any relation with this kind of service provider. It is a scam .. beware..
- Tamianth replies to BobConsider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

Googled the # and it appears that its a scam. Will not be calling back or providing any information to anyone. - Ann| 1 replyIt is not a scam. It is Fiserv, the company that handles bill payment services for USAA. We didn't have enough funds in our account and they had already sent a payment for us. I received an email from my bank informing me to contact them so I had verification from my bank that it was a legitimate company. I returned their call the next day and the guy was VERY nice. I offered to make a payment with a credit card over the phone but he said I could just wait until I got paid which saves me money on interest.

- C. WithersI have received several calls from the above number in the past 10 days. All have gone to voice mail. They say they are trying to collect on a debt. This is not how the debt collection process works. First, one is supposed to receive a notice in writing from the entity to whom money is owed. If they are not paid within 90 days, that entity can then turn the matter over to a debt collection agency. No entity has ever contacted me in writing to tell me I owe them money. This is confirmed by my credit history. Since I have no outstanding debt, as is clearly stated in my credit reports from Experian, Transunion, and Equifax, and am rated an 'excellent' credit risk, I can only conclude that these calls are a fraudulent phishing attempt to collect additional private information. My attorney has advised me not to respond to such calls. If you discover the name of the debt collector and the city/state where their business is based, however, you can report them to the Attorney General of the state they are operating from, as well as the attorney general of the state where you live. You can also report them, or their phone number, to the FCC -- see FCC.com -- since it is illegal to carry out fraudulent scams over the phone. I had never received ANY calls from a debt collector until one week after the cyber attack on Anthem Blue Cross where the names, contact info, and Soc.Sec. numbers of 80 million people was stolen. These current calls are the second collection agency that has tried to contact me. Perhaps it is just a coincidence, but the timing is certainly suspicious.
