I found this message on a pop-up ostensibly  from Apple Support. I became suspicious when they avoided taking a credit card, asking instead for a check number.

I had updated my Adobe view finder I believe and after that I keep getting pop ups and Apple support, even a chat box and they told me that a service tech will  call, or I can call this number 800-848-2859,.We have also had a foreign speaking man call twice as he was calling us to help us on our PC. I called the support line to see who answered and the recording does not Identify them as Apple, when I got a live person it sounds like the same man..Eastern Indian accent. Beware of this Number!

It IS NOT Apple support - do not call the thieves back!!  Never give remote access to a cold caller.

This # will direct you to some foreign schmuck (Indian accent?) who's probably working out of his house trying to roll people out of their ID's & Money... DON"T BUY IT! (Creeps like this are everywhere - You've been Warned!)

the REAL Apple Care Support Team # is: (800) 692-7753 (whereas you will hear an "Apple-related" message with options to choose from & to describe your current issue(s) so that they can best be able to help you...

*Apple Care has switched to being an ongoing "Free" support Team a while back - so they are always there to help
